Great vid! I use XS 327 and (as solid as it is) I've found I need to wax it bi-monthly and reapply yearly for my use case. Our kitchen is pretty high traffic. It's been the best product for us by far. One thing I've not been sure of is, for my yearly reapply, if I should be prepping with SCR? Or if that is really just meant to be for an initial etching but not necessarily something you would do for yearly maintenance? Any thoughts on that? I'm not sure if the etching would be harsh on my stained countertop or change the look. I've thought about maybe some sort of more mild wax or sealer remover, but I was afraid that would get into a big peeling/stripping situation, so the past couple years I've just been going over the top of what I've got - and it seems to work/penetrate just fine. But yeah, any tips would be welcomed. (I know not everyone does this yearly)

Maybe I missed it, but I was specifically looking for the primer that you were using. I googled "Zinsser cover stain on concrete" and was looking to see if I could find anybody that uses it on concrete and give a review, this video popped up but it never mentioned anything about The primer that was used nor did it look like the zinsert cover stay packaging. What says you?

Hi, I'm hoping you can help! I want to do something like this on our living room TV wall. However, I want to make it look like wet and or dark concrete / cement, like there is three large 4 x 8 formed panels. The wall is 8ft tall x 12ft wide wall, and is already drywalled, textured with orange peel style, and probably has at least 2 or 3 coats of latex (its an older house). I've looked at everything from easier faux finish painting techniques, to plaster with some extra sand content, but arrived at various micro-cement videos because I really want it to be at least 3/8" to 1/2" thick to create the vertical seams every 4ft apart as well the realistic voids and divots like real formed concrete walls. So I want it thick enough to create the random scattered rough voids and air pockets you typically see with various formed concrete slab walls. Secondly, FYI, for creating this effect I've seen one plasterer use clear plastic sheeting..like 1/8" thick (and I think with a light oil spray on the back) which they pressed onto the wall once the plaster was troweled to create that "faux form effect" if you will to create the voids and pockets and they leave it there overnight then peel off, in essence mimicking a real wall form. So my main questions I guess are with doing this to an old latex painted wall, do I even need a specialty sealing primer first, and should I possibly use some sort of lathe grid or mesh backing over the primer? Because of the fact that I want it to go on fairly thick..up to 1/2" inch, I just don't want it to crack or peel off the wall. Lastly, it looks like this turned out pretty light / white. As said initially, I want mine dark, like a wet look. How.?? Should I just add a colorant ..or use a top sealer, ..or both ??

After applying the sealer XS-327 as a prime coat and it dried in 12 hours, I noticed the concrete change color. The concrete was darker in some areas while normal in the other, creating a patchy look. Any suggestions on how to fix this so it's not blotchy?

How long do you have to wait after powerwashing/cleaning to apply tk 290? The container only says dont apply if rain is expected within 4-6hr? How long does it have to sit before it can get rained on? How long after application can you walk or drive on it? Thank you!

I used Living Earth Water-Based stain on my new driveway. The color I selected was coal. I used a pump sprayer to apply it, just as it is shown in the video. The driveway looks absolutely awful. I was not able to get the stain to apply evenly and the cement looks patchy. Completely horrible results. I have a hideous ugly patchy crap looking driveway thanks to this product. Infinity thumbs down.
