I have an accident deformed foot, but if I had a half-foot I would shorten my shoes for that foot rather than spend what has to be a LOT of money for a fake foot.

Wondering if making a really good pair of boots myself would last longer than the stuff stores sell these days.

I’ve been an upholsterer for over 30 years and see the skills involved in this work. I was born with club foot and walk on the outer edge of my foot. All surgeries have failed. Would love to have a go at making my own orthotic boot but I don’t materials for this kind of work. Thanks for the upload and big respect for your craft ❤

Hi mate, any chance you could tell me what's the temper of the sole leather you are using and where I could get it from, please? I'm in the process of making my first boots, but the leather I've got is like concrete.... Yours seem much softer than mine, I've broken two needles trying to make holes to connect sole with the upper. Thanks in advance and fantastic job, mate

The guy that is building those boots is nothing short of a true highly talented craftsman. I'm a logger of 5 generations before me and like the men from all those years ago, the most important article of work attire are good heavy leather work boots. Your fee,t legs and back will thank you especially if you're a cutter. That's a craft that would be a gift to have someone to teach me. Beautiful finished product that's made with pride. So awesome to see
