If you use APP mode in the approach then doesn’t it just nullify the whole point of setting up VOR/DME? Like if I have to fly a VORDME isn’t it because the ILS is out of service? It’s more complicated to fly the VORDME so why choose it over ILS?

You certainly know your stuff.p I have a question because i'm a die hard realism authenicism fan i like to make things as real (hard) as i can even though i'm not that good. But i have an issue. when i do this i get oil warnings and sometimes other warnings that something is not right... how do i overcome these issues? i know there is a services section within the fmc, but is that enough............The other day i tried flying with this problem only to lose both engines over the ocean and logically enough lost the aircraft as i was not able to glide to safety...... knew there was something wrong when the aircrft could not maintain level flight almost on full power and also that the aileiron trim was not keeping the aircraft level...it was as if there was too much input from the smallest movement possible.. this was befoe i saw he engine fail readout in the mfd

Hello, the dial a flap selector after Take/Off is set to 15- not to 10 degrees- for my company at least- I have never heard, airlines using Flaps 10- where did you hear/ read this? In your Video at 17:45 during the approach, the PFD speed band will show you a green "F15" speed-marker, below that, it is time/safe to select Flaps to 15. Thanks for the video!

5:24 I might be wrong, but I think I usually enter the name & course. I.e. IMSP/301 instead of frequency & course 110.3/301. That aside, does it not fill in the details automatically as soon as it’s within a certain distance of the airport?

Please DON'T use the AFS OVRD paddles to disengage the autoflight system. That is the emergency override only. This also kills flight envelope protections and RCWS. :( Use the buttons on the yoke/throttles to disconnect.

I have problem with GPS/VLOC.... When i start engines on the runway its in GPS mod already and cant switch to VLOC And when i set aircraft on the ramp/gate it already in VLOC mode and cant change it to GPS My question here was how can i swap from VLOC on GPS mod on the parking stand

You can create a flight plan in little navmap , VOR to VOR if you like, and export it to simbrief

It’s not the best ATC option. Sayintentions is way more advanced and a better product than anything out there. I have them all Pilot2Atc, ProATC, and BeyondATC. BeyondATC has no real AI and has scripted responses. It doesn’t understand many requests you ask it. Your info is wrong the #1 ATC software is SayIntentions and it’s not even close. Sayintentions is expensive but can do things BATC can’t. Sayintentions has Navigraph implementation, you can talk to it in 14 languages and VFR support. BeyondAtC with no VFR and no Navigraph is a huge disappointment.

Having to use Simbrief is a pain in the arse! otherwise it works well so far

Just getting into MSFS and really enjoying the CJ4 but have been struggling to get RNAV approach's to work when programing them myself (cant even get approach mode to arm) the bit you showed at 07:51 inputting the approach ref data was the missing piece and RNAV's work fine now, great work on being so comprehensive and showing/explaining everything, your vids are still helping people out 2 years later.

For me this was the most useful, well-explained descent and landing video for the A320 that I have watched. I have taken copious notes and look forward to lots of practice time using what you have taught. Thank for an excellent tutorial!
