I also was experiencing the front end speed wobble. If felt downing dangerous and the bike was only 1 year old with 6000kms only. The preload both ends was all the way out from factory. I dialled in approx 50% preload both ends and fitted a RSC Hyperpro adj steering damper (stock one very light damping). I altered the preload over the course of several rides to get it to where I was happy. To follow the BMW Manual to set preload I found pretty useless actually. Now the from end is rock solid stable at speed. Adding preload and the steering damper at the same time so I can't be sure if it was both changes the the adjustability of the steering damper is great. It can be adjusted sitting on the bike by reaching around front of the bike. Light setting for around town and a few clicks more for spirited riding.

Hi Jack. Thanks for the video. So I have the same bike, 2016 S1000R Sport (used bike). I'm small 66kg bloke, 5"8, and I'm always dubious about fiddling with suspension, and have not yet, but I'm 100% sure mine isn't setup for my weight and height. Should I try adjust myself or would you recommend taking to a bike-mech to set it up for me?
@jackthomas1978 Жыл бұрын
You may struggle to get preload low wnough at your weight. Just wind it all out. Front and rear

Jesus you’ve got barely any preload on there. I’m 84kg and to get the preload set as per the manual it’s almost all the way in

Okay, so if you put 2.5ml of the bacteriostatic water in a 5mg vial, and you want to use 250mcg per day/injection, how much is each injection on the insulin syringe? To what mark? And how many injections will one vial last? Got a ligament injury in jiu-jitsu and I want to try this out.
@jackthomas19782 жыл бұрын
5000 mcg ÷ 250 mcg = 20 shots. Therefore if you have 2.5 ml of water you would get 250 mcg in each of the 20 shots. A 1ml syringe is 100 iu. Therefore use 12.5 units per shot, its easier to see on a 0.5 ml syringe. To be honest, if you are slightly under or over its not any problem as you will get your full bottle in over the period you use it.

This is brilliant - Thankyou . When you say you’d have 8 injections - would you make the 8 injections up at once ? And use the same syringe for the following days ?
@jackthomas19783 жыл бұрын
You can use one syringe for multiple shots, it just depends how tough you are. Im happy with the same pin for a couple of days........
