These people were disobeying the warnings to get away to higher ground, not realizing that staying there was committing suicide. Very sad.

shocking. People standing and driving around and they can see the waves coming. Even the people who had all those tsunami walls that actually contributed to the destruction by keeping the water from running back out. Never seen such destruction before? I'm still shocked by it all.

Apparently those folks seen on the second floor at 7:15 survived 😅
I watched a video of the man who survived this. He made it to the roof of the two story building and held on to a pipe. I will never understand why some didn't head to higher ground after the warnings. Im not making a judgement. Thank You for this.

この規模の津波を日本で見た事がなかったから、つい笑ってしまうんだろうな。

7:00 tinha uma pessoa no centro andando desesperada, na estrutura coberta do meio. 😢
I still don't get fully why those people stayed in the building that was eventually over taken by the second wave..There were so many needless deaths..There are 3 options as to why : 1 They truly didn't know the true danger they were in, which I do not ridicule..2 curiosity was more important than survival. 3 All they could think of was the views they'd get on social media..
