선생님 안녕하세요… 제가 질문있어요. What’s the difference (/nuance) between the usage of ‘은/는 데요’ and ‘던 데요’ when it’s used as a response (different options ) of what the speaker has just said? 예를들면, at 6:08 별로 재밌없는데요 and, at 10:32 맛없던데요. I couldn’t really tell the difference between these two…What if I use 별로 재밌없던데요 and 맛없는데요? Thanks a lot!

This video was extremely helpful! Thank you so much for putting so much effort into each video. I love all the example sentences that you use. I always learn each new vocabulary word in a sentence. It helps me review words that I already know, learn grammar points and see how the new word fits into a sentence. Since you already made sentences I don't have to scroll through Naver looking for beginner friendly sentences.

안녕하세요 선생님. I hope you're doing well. I just want to ask for your help about the differences of the following and can you give examples? 1. 이해하다, 이해되다, 이해가다, 알아들다, 알았다, 알겠다 Are their counterparts the following? 이해 안 하다, 이해 안 되다, 이해 안 가다, 안 알아들다 2. 기억하다, 기억나다, 기억되다 기억 안 하다, 기억 안 나다, 기억 안 되다 3. 깜빡하다, 까먹다, 잊어버리다, 잊다 4. 의심이 들다 , 의심하다 의심이 안 들다 , 의심 안 하다 4. 의지하다 , 의존하다 의지 안 하다 , 의존 안 하다 Also, can you clarify whether they all seem natural when used, or if there are better grammar patterns/vocabulary for the same meaning? Lastly, is this correct: 1년 이상/1년 미만 more than a year/ less than a year I am not sure of the appropriate way to express more than or less than with numbers She carries more than fifteen bags. I waited more than three hours. She is over twenty years old. I have only less than 5 minutes to complete the examination. 한국어 배운 지 거의 6개월 됐어요. Is 거의 natural to use with numbers? 거의 8시 15분이에요. Thank you in advance 선생님.

안녕하세요 선생님. I would like to ask which one is correct: 손 남는 분이에요? 손 남는 분 있어요? Also, can I reply 없어요 or 안 남아요? Actually, I saw it in one reality show. Someone asked "손 남는 분?", then the others replied "안 남아요." What I understood is that 손 남는 분 is casual and not a complete sentence. So I just want to confirm what is the missing verb to complete the sentence. 감사합니다 선생님.
@justlearnkorean
@justlearnkorean Ай бұрын
안녕하세요. 😀 손 남는 분 있어요 a sort of makes sense. But as it's not a common expression, I'm not sure what the speaker meant. I just guess it means 'is there anyone can help?' something like that. If that's correct, 손 here refers to someone who can do the work/help. 남는 means 'to have extra, spare'. 분 있어요 means 'is there anyone?' So, the appropriate response to the question of 손 남는 분 있어요? (is there anyone who can do the work/help?) would be 'yes, there is/no, there isnt'', in Korean, 네, 있어요/아니요, 없어요. Or like the answer you've given me, 네, 남아요/아니요, 안 남아요 are also possible. In this case, the verb, 남다 (to be left, to be available to use because it is extra) is used. Hope that answers to your question. 😉

Your videos are ten times more useful than majority of the Korean teachers online nowadays. Actual explanations, speed that is easy to catch and then a native speed to practice with. This makes learning intonations easier, and it’s not from some random video clip. Love, love, love what you’re doing, a part of me hopes that I can gate keep this information for myself and another part of me wished everyone in the world would watch your videos; in order to gain the recognition you deserve.:)) 선상님!!! 감사합니다!!!~~

안녕하세요. Thank you for video. Can you explain the difference between 읽습니다 and 읽으십니다. And how should i make exclamative sentence in 하십시오체 style??
@justlearnkorean
@justlearnkorean Ай бұрын
I'm sorry for the late response. Hope it's not too late. 🫣 읽습니다 is the formal, polite way to say "read" WITHOUT honorifics. It's quite natural, that's why you can use it for yourself and other people. Wheres, 읽으십니다 is the formal, polite way to say "read" WITH honorifics (시), showing respect to someone. That's why it can only be used for other people. If you are interested in learning more about 시, please refer to this video. 👉 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nryApLSIz7qld5c.html Exclamative sentences in 하십시오체 is a bit more complicated. Because depending on whether you need to show respect to the object, you should add 시. For example, if you are saying 'wow, it's beautiful' (towards flowers), you could say 아름답습니다! On the other hand, if you are saying 'wow, you're beautiful' (towards someone), you could say 아름다우십니다! hope that helps. 😉
