I remember meeting atllas when I was little in maryvale ! I seen him all over he was also one of the people that inspired me to get into music 🎶 I never knew nothing about education or business or marketing so it never went anywhere with it besides living the street life and ending up in prison , AZ didn't have many rappers to look up to , when I lived in Texas or Cali I met so many people that actually had successful rap careers just selling within their own state, az wasn't like that now it's a whole different ballgame but atllas for sure was the first on my radar before juice and hot rod salute to him

Man he killed it on A Song For You. My taste has changed so much since then, but his work on that is still G.O.A.T'd

Crazy how a song reminds you of another song by the name of “Art of noise” then you go “that used to be on a radio show at night” that then leads you to “Melissa the midnight mamacita”. Junior high to high school man, she was iconic on the radio. Made most of us young men romantics without trying lol I got a Song request: “2 occasions”

I just found this KZfaq channel and I just subscribed. I started my career in Spanish radio in 1995 in Phoenix and always listened to Bruce Kelly on Power 92. I listened to him every day and he inspired me, I wanted to sound like him, I wanted to have that skill he had when speaking on air. Yes, he had his problems and controversies, but despite all that, he has been one of my favorite people in radio. I really enjoyed this interview, congratulations!

Fascinating, beautifully human interview. Well done. His technique, especially on Derelicts of Dialect, is so distinctive and special that I nearly wore a hole through my CD the month it came out. I was transitioning out of my high school experience that year and, to this day, that album is so coded to those memories, all I have to do is put it on and it’s like having the keys to a time machine. I admire him for reinventing himself in order to adapt and look after his family and super grateful to him for the role his incredible music played as the soundtrack for an important period in my life. Thank you so much for sharing this. 💙💛

It "came' to me as a kid in the 80's ; "This song will still sound Cool in the Future !" Junior, did Ellen Degeneres give you your money for teaching her the moves you do in the original "Mama Used to Say" video ?
