I appreciate how he just leans into the stupidity, instead of phoning it in.

Life changing record for me. When I listen back to my own music I can hear all the things that were inspired by Endtroducing. Maybe a few things that are borderline theft? 😬

Holy shit man, I commented earlier but i gotta say maximum respect for this vid. As many have said above, this really brings home the range of tunes that Shadow sampled for the album and really underlines what a masterpiece it is. Both the album and your vid are inspirational stuff. 👍👍🤘

This album is the greatest possibly of all time, I have nothing but love for every nuance of this thing man. This and preemptive strike are timeless masterworks from the musical gods spoken through shadow. All seriousness the man is visionary and I’m so glad beyond belief Endtroducing exists

This album’s sample methodology changed my life. When I heard about Shadow’s samples (and Cut Chemist, crate diggers), I wanted to see the artists they sampled. They were SO diverse. It opened my mind in terms of where you should be looking for your influences. Shadow and the crate digger generation completely pushed me to be a more open minded consumer of the arts, because once your mindset is focused on visions instead of genres, it’s much easier to venture down unfamiliar roads

I can get my head around how most music is made, but this album is still a complete mystery to me, the way he makes multiple disparate elements from different obscure songs to fit is amazing. I don’t know if he thinking about the key or the timing or just keeps trying until he finds things that work. For me this album sounds totally unique, unconventional and beautiful. I don’t think anyone else has ever made any like this (including dj shadow), half of it doesn’t even sound like hip hop at all, it sounds like a soundtrack to a film that was never made.
