I was enjoying it up until 3:40 at which point one of the most egregious acts of shooting a doe with a fawn still in spots right by her side. In this one man's opinion, one of the most unethical things to do. The act of a desperate hunter that hasn't filled their tag all season and is on the verge of eating tag soup. I'd rather burn the tag as to kill a momma with a fawn. Do better, this gives the anti's so much ammo to try to stop us from hunting.

Excellent tips - the “going silent” Probably would have helped me close a bird last week. We had them all fired up but couldn’t get them to come out of the thick brush.

Another trick that has worked for me. If you know where a hen is nesting i have set up a decoy close to her. She will come off the nest for breakfast! When she sees that decoy sometimes she will raise hell. Then you hear other birds sound off and come in to see whats up. It works like a fight does! It will happen fast tho!

For all those idiots who anthropomorphize animals, especially WILD animals, you're all idiots. Sportsmen understand the realities of the natural world. A bear can move with killing speed, remorseless in their attack and uncompromising in completing the job. I'm from NJ and can state, without hyperbole, that northern NJ has seen many more attacks and incursions. Our sportsman's organizations work hard to maintain needed bear seasons.
