Mate get fucked. I've lived in St Paul's for 10 years and the people are amazing. Never had any trouble or anything. It's one of the best places in Cheltenham to live for the community, and is so close to Pitville and the town centre and the college campus which is one of the best media centres in the country. You don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

St Matthews why if they are that poor did the council spend 100 thousand plus building extra car parking spaces And a 3 bedroom flat are up for 270.000 and I drive past everyday and there are some expensive cars parked there. 🤔

Dirty scruffy unhygienic countries like India/Bangladesh/Pakistan are now just like Slough/Birmingham/Luton/Leicester/Bradford/Leeds/Oldham. It's like a trend, wherever they go, grime and squalor follows.

I lived just round the corner from the Britwell Estate in the late 90s despite its reputation it wasn't as bad as claimed. Shopping centre was decent enough and the Cinema. It's a shame Council negligence has caused so much devastation to what should be "considering how near to Heathrow" a bustling town.

Strange how certain demographics are inextricably linked to substandard living conditions. The data suggests that this cannot be a mere coincidence.

Not as bad as Orchard Park or North Bransholme. I would like to see a few interviews with the locals to give a balanced view.

It still has some of the best schools in the whole country. The outer areas are nice like Burnham, Langley/Upton/Colnbrook.

Thank you for this. I was born and raised in Walsall (I left when I was 18) It breaks my heart to see what Walsall has become. It used to be a great market town, with beautiful, Victorian and Georgian architecture. You would never see garbage thrown on the street and while it has always been working class, there used to be civic pride. Now, there is an attitude of complete disrespect toward people, public spaces and communities, along with a growing attitude of entitlement. Many young people don’t want to work, they expect the government to take care of them and, with no work, boredom leads to drink, drugs and antisocial behavior.

I'm a very proud Black Country Wench, born and raised in Tipton. You really did show all of the worst parts of the area. Yes Tipton is struggling but you really need to get your facts straight. My Grandparents had a shop on the Moathouse farm estate (the lost city). It was a great place !

Well guess what , if we want to go to curry restaurants , order takeaway , call for a kebab after a pint and then get driven home by an Asian cab driver, and have Turkish hair cut and wet shave and call at the paki local shop because big tesco is too far and its raining. They will have to live and shop somewhere ☝️ who knew !

The problem with a lot of the modern housing estates is the terrible layout, especially the council houses. There is no privacy as the back of the houses seem to be completely open on to car parks and places for young louts to hang out.
@mmuzzwell36544 күн бұрын
Apparently another issue is aging first generation Asians that have put their kids through school. Kids don't want to work in retail or catering. The parents are left in a nostalgic deadlock. Obvious;y this is not all of the places. Local authorities need proper seizure powers. I am sure there are enough startups that could revive any high street if it was done collectively and ridiculous rents were not a problem.

Why can’t the government reclaim the derelict/abandoned properties and sell them to developers? At the very least, clear the land and create green space and parklands

There is nothing wrong with those estates other than the people have no pride in them selves or in there area.They don’t clean themselves or there houses and gardens and don’t respect anyone or anything.Get of your fat arses wales and make it great again!
