how many small square bales did you get from a big round bale?
@CanfieldFamilyFarm10 күн бұрын
Usually we get about 18 small bales from a round bale. Sometimes that number can vary based on how short the hay is.

I definitely do. But the funds for that are not sufficient at this point in time. Also that shop has been the home of those tractors for many years and was the shop that my Grandpa and Great grandpa also worked out of.

Should get that Oiler Working, it puts Oil Directly on the Crankshaft Bearings, pretty easy to work on, might just need cleaning out and New Lines.
@CanfieldFamilyFarm5 ай бұрын
After running it some more I’m pretty sure the oiler does work. And also cause the guy who we bought it from said to start out by running premixed oil and gas.

@@CanfieldFamilyFarm Might wanna Pull the Carbs and Visably check that there's oil coming out on both sides, the orifices are so small they clog pretty easy, easiest if you pull the spark plugs out and spin it over with the recoil or with a drill on the clutch.

Nope, Deere made their own sleds in horicon. The only thing it has in common with the invader is the 440 kawi motor.. and the 295 in the 300 is a kiortz engine

@CanfieldFamilyFarm5 ай бұрын
So back when I started this project I looked all over for brand new pistons and sleeves. And I. Found that no one makes then. So we found a guy who had a set of new old stock pistons and sleeves for sale and we bought them off of him. I would recommend seeing if you can get any old sleeves you have polished and honed. Pistons can be an easy find after that. Every other part I got was from either Steiner tractor parts or rice equipment.

@@CanfieldFamilyFarm is the tractor correctly sized for it? I have a Heliodor 9/350 and tractor shopping. Worried I'm going too small.
@CanfieldFamilyFarm5 ай бұрын
@@oddioneThe tractor we’re running it with is a John Deere 8310 and it’s a 205 horsepower tractor. It works well for the job. It could definitely be weighted down heavier in the front but in order to do that would require a 3 point on the front. A slightly bigger tractor would definitely be a good option also!
@oddione5 ай бұрын
@@CanfieldFamilyFarm and Lemken says 88-140HP for a 3.5 meter!
@Wyomingfarmer3 ай бұрын
Just depends how deep and what sort of ground work you want to do. We have a heliodor 9/700 three point. It's all our 8100 can lift with a full rack of weights on front. We're only working 3 to 4 inches deep on untilled ground at 6.5 to 7.5 mph. On worked ground you can go faster, but 13th gear is an odd shift.

FYI. The tractor was only running on 2 cylinders in this video. Since then I have adjusted and tuned it to run smoothly on all 4 cylinders. I have updated videos of it now.
