Hi folks, I have an 88 Softail Heritage. her name is Elvira, unfortunately, she spent the whole winter outside! She was covered up nicely. Even though we don't have harsh winters in Belgium, we have a lot of rain. After unpacking her I tried to start her. Obviously, she didn't make a sound. I checked the battery, the battery was dead. I'm fed up with the crap Harley batteries, I've ordered a 9-ah lithium battery. Normally a 7-ah should be enough. Now my ignition lights, head, and tail lights come on and that's it, When I push the start button not even a tick from the starter relais. The kill switch on my handlebar is on. I'm not at all a mechanic but it's time to learn some basic stuff and I hope you guys can give me some tips on where to start troubleshooting and get my hands dirty.

Hi, after I put my push button starter on she (Hilary-funny how we have names for our bikes) started by using it. But not by using the handle bar starter. My positive cable from battery to solenoid was corroded. Replaced it and worked fine. Your bike is 6 years older than mine and if it has never been replaced give that a go first. Good luck.

@@delta-40 Thanks for getting back so quick, Ok I'll start checking all the cables, clean up all the corrosion. Do we have a fuse box and where is it located or are the fuses here and there? Maybe a good idea to start with that. Like I mentioned she doesn't make any sound, no click no grinding, nothing. I really hope that I only have to replace the positive cable. I'll definitely order the solenoid push-button too. My thanks to you and my regards to Hillary 🙂

Hi Joe, Hope you're doing well. I completed 28 radiation sessions a month ago and my PSA is undetectable for now based on the hormone therapy and radiation. I won't know if my undetectable PSA will hold until 'I'm off the hormone therapy for awhile, which won't be anytime soon. I changed oncologists after I learned he should have been checking my liver numbers based on the drug he prescribed , but did not until 3 months later after prescribing it and my numbers were off the chart. My new oncologist is 5 stars. He prescribed a different drug that he was able to get me a grant for. As someone said on these posts, everyone's the captain of their own ship, and that is really true. How are you doing? I encourage anyone who has prostate cancer to watch the MarkScholzMD videos on KZfaq.

I'm seeing my guy later this month and hope to give an update. Currently still on HT and like you PSA undetectable. I'm also hoping for another PETSCAN to see what's going on inside. Who knows, maybe I will be going down the radiation treatment. Time will tell. Keep fighting my friend.

The best treatment is metabolic therapy, because cancer is a metabolic disease. Keto diet starves tumor cells for fuel, which is glucose and glutamine. Normal cells can process ketones, but cancer cells cant. Intermittent fasting further reduces glutamine. Works synergisticly with HBOT. Following this approach either slows or stops tumor growth, and tumors have also disappeared. When the cancer cells are weakened, radiation or other therapies are more effective, and lesser amounts may be used, sparing the patient from toxicity and the numerous and detrimental side effects of the standard of care. Also, the current standard of care does not address the root of the problem, which is the patient's metabolic environment, allowing reoccurance of cancer. The metabolic approach heals the root of the tree to make it strong and healthy, whereas the current standard of care merely cuts off dead leaves, only to have them return again. Trouble is, there is no money from the pharmaceutical industry to fund clinical trials, because there is no profit potential. But we do have very good case studies. Check out the 40 years of research and 150 white papers on the metabolic roots of cancer, done by PhD Dr Thomas Seyfried, and also Dr Dominic D'Agostino, and Dr William Li.

At 62 YO, not a great time of age to become incontinent and to have erectile dysfunction, so I may be swayed to go down the RT route rather than surgery. I am a couple of months into my journey with prostate cancer. Gleason 8, wide spread bone metastatic cancer. I’ve had an injured lumbar spine since my teens, and had episodes of periodic bouts of back pain. So when my back started playing up it was nothing really surprising, except that the pain kept increasing to a level not met since the original injury 50 odd years ago. Eventually got a appointment with the gp who arranged a mri, and that’s when things kicked off. After the initial scan, I left the room only to be called back and put through the machine again. Following that I was wheeled to a ward by the radiologist who said I’d be sorted out by on the ward. Eventually a nurse came round saying the oncologist would be with me shortly. I remember thinking to myself did she say oncologists? No, can’t be. But it was. So I was told I had widespread bone cancer but no sign of a primary source. There followed a pet scan and X-rays of my hips and femurs. Blood was taken and I was sent home after being told I’d be called back in for a bone biopsy to identify the source. So I spent that evening wondering what cancer I had. I received a call the next morning informing they found a psa of 2600, indicating that the primary was a prostate cancer. I was asked to attend urology for prostate biopsy. My experience of the procedure was pretty good, for what was done to me. The procedure was explained, and I was asked to put on a gown and jock-strap. I was then introduced to the birthing chair, and after a quick positioning the area around my butt-hole was cleaned up. With little warning the docs finger was I up my bum. Not the best experience, but also little in the way of discomfort. Local Anaesthetic was injected mid-way between my butt-hole and scrotum. This area was where the tool entered that took the biopsy. The injection stung a little, and I can’t say I felt any pain at all from the tool. A ultrasound probe was inserted up my poor backside, but again no pain, just a little discomfort. All over in 10 minutes, given tea and biscuits, first load up of hormone injection, all the while waiting impatiently to pee. Eventually my bladder cooperated and my pee was as clear as a bell and was sent home. If my experience is anything to go by, this procedure is a doddle, just get her done. I was told I may pass a little blood when peeing and that’s what happened, just the once. So to my plan, injections and pill to reduce testosterone. Infusion to increase bone density, a pill to flush out excess calcium from deceased bone, radiotherapy and chemo. What an adventure. Should be a blast! About 6 to 8 years ago I got symptoms of an enlarged prostate; broken stream, dribbling, etc. my gp checked my pee and did a finger exam of the prostate. He did offer a psa test but advised it often produced a false positive, and would lead to a needless and painful biopsy - so I didn’t. Probably a decision that has drastically reduced my life. Moral of the story. If you are aged 60 and over, wether or not you are showing symptoms, insist on regular prostate checks and blood check psa. It could save your life. Good luck everyone fighting this decease

I unfortunately got a prostatic abscess, which was the most pain I’ve ever encountered - having been admitted in the early hours and 3 DRE’s by three separate physicians later, my sense of humour and general strength of restraint was at a low ebb. Come the morning, and on an open ward I encountered the Consultant and his entourage of young students. Right then, he thundered, let’s have a look at this prostate. As he dramatically pulled on some surgical gloves for his audience I casually asked if the DRE was necessary as it had been done three times in 10 hours. He replied that it was because he needed to know what was going on. I, politely suggested that he speak to the SHO and house officers as they had all come to the same conclusion, backed up by a scan and some rather ugly blood results. He then pressed the point by saying that he was in charge and demanded that the procedure was carried out. I, having had quite enough, stated clearly and calmly that if he came anywhere near my prostate with a lubed digit, he was unlikely to get it back in the same condition. He turned on his heels, and stormed away muttering, closely followed by his entourage. The Staff Nurse stayed by the bed, and without making eye contact, said quietly. You’ve just made my day, and wandered off.

My local doctors receptionist was turning men away, unless they started justifying why they should see a doctor. She refused appointments to anyone under 55 with symptoms. The NHS were not interested but were offering private tests on the PatientAccess App. I got mine from ebay so no way of telling if they are real. This is what goes on, everything based on age, not symptoms people describe.

Yet they push out adverts on TV and on the side of bus shelters. I’m sure they state 50, not 55. Sounds like the receptionist is a jobsworth. Or she has been given direction by the practice. I was diagnosed in 2019. Started with PSA7.4. Had an MRI and then my first biopsy which yielded Gleason score 6. Protocol out here (NL) is then to monitor vigilantly. PSA initially dropped to 5.4 and then gradually rose with something like 0.6 point each 6 months. As a result I had over that time 3 more biopsies, all yielding Gleason score 6. Also had another MRI a year back which showed same results of 2019. Urologist is puzzled and warned me that a prostatectomy might still be necessary (Options here are robotic prostatectomy or radiation - I will not do the latter). PSA las September was 8.8. Next check end of this month. So I had 4 biopsies, two of each kind (via the colon and via the perineum). Both are bearable but I fully agree with you on the unpleasantness. I'm 100% sure (as if I needed that to know) that I'm not gay! The fact that I can live with the knowledge that I do have prostate cancer, albeit with Geason 6, is something that my urologist is keen to establish (ie quality of life etc). I have no physical complaints and I am able to simply dismiss the notion of it all. The gradual PSA increase is giving me some stress and I do sometimes think that having a prostatectomy solves the whole affair. Anyway - thanks for the video and to you and to all who already commented from the same boat: all the best and hang tough!

Like you, physically I don’t feel much different, even with Gleason 7. It’s really only the meds and the knowing that is troublesome, and as you say stressful. Hopefully your next test at the end of the month will not be too high. I wish you the best, with whatever you decide to do my friend. A lot of people have recommended ‘Ripping it out’. To date I have not been given that option, or indeed any others. You hang in there too.

Very nicely done video, sir. Jut a quick point, though....@11:00 you are looking at an axial slice through the chest, not at the prostate, so that area of uptake is in the region of supraclavicular lymph nodes.

Thank you Sanjay. A couple of people have mentioned that. I will amend it in my next video. I am grateful for your post.

Hi sir, thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am happy that the cancer cells have reduced for you after the hormone therapy. My father is recently diagnosed with prostrate cancer and has a biopsy test scheduled. Awaiting for your next videos
