Hey man, how can you tell this work needs to be done? Just picked up an '88 and a shop I took it to recommended it but I can't tell if the car actually needs it. Any telltale signs beyond knowing the time since last rebuild?
@FortuneOffRoad15 сағат бұрын
Time since last rebuild is a good indicator. If you don't know when it was, it's probably time

Hey man. I am looking at both precision fit leather seats such as these and precision fit Carhartt covers. I have a 2010 f150 with tan seats. Do these have tan versions? I work at a body shop and cut grass. I get a lot of dust in my truck. Do you think that i should go for something easier to wash?
@FortuneOffRoad5 күн бұрын
These are great, but are a really tight fit. I think carhartt would probably be a better route for washing
@BassMaster.4544 күн бұрын
@@FortuneOffRoad Thanks. I really do like the look of the Carhartt, though leather is nicer. I think the canvas will hold up for a long time too.

Can you please tell me what is the model number to your toolbox. According to the Amazon one you put in this description it is the 117 model extra wide, is this correct? Looks like a perfect size to me but it oes not look to be 27 inch wide. I would like to get the exact same size box. Can you measure it for me, Thank You, Robert

I am in process of doing 2x6 rockers on my XJ. For the jeep I cut the rocker so the 2x6 butts up against the bottom of the vertical section the weather stripping attaches to. I had to cut the bottom of the doors, but didn't have to mess with the weather stripping.
@FortuneOffRoadАй бұрын
That sounds awesome, I plan on doing something similar
@benjaminreinhardt259Ай бұрын
For the camper plug, I would put a socket on the trailer. That way you only have to plug in one cord and then the camper is powered up when the trailer is plugged in.
@FortuneOffRoadАй бұрын
That's the plan I came up with too! 🤘🏻
@benjaminreinhardt259Ай бұрын
Where did you source your tie rod ends? I have a one ton steering setup on my jeep with straight tie rod ends and the tie rod tube hits the diff cover at full lock. Those offset tie rod ends would give me extra clearance to get more turning radius. I have enough trouble getting my jeep through some of these trails, I can only imagine how entertaining it is to push that thing through the trails. As far as ease to steer, have you looked into swapping the pump out for a higher volume and/or pressure pump?
@FortuneOffRoadАй бұрын
The TREs were from ebay, searching for the specific part numbers. 🤙🏻

How do I know what size of leaf springs to get ? Meaning you shared yours are 3.5”. ? By removing the ones I have would it tell me the size ? Sorry i’m new to all this. Thanks in advance, great videos!
@FortuneOffRoadАй бұрын
You have to know the size of the ones you have to replace them accurately. Otherwise, you can do the research and find out what size lift spring you need for the tire size that you want to run.

Looks like a great start. I've got a crawler hauler as well. Owned it for the last 6 years or so. My limiting factor was the small 8 gallon black tank. I bought a 16 gallon black tank and am going to mount it under the deck of the trailer and plumb it from the camper. Same with fresh water. I'm going to add a fresh tank under the deck and use a 12v pump to move the water into the main tank in the camper. My furnace doesn't work very well so I upgraded to a diesel heater. Super cheap and easy way to get some heat in the camper.
