Navigation with map works but no download is offered when I use the 2022 map. The last card was from 2019. The same content?!

Hi mate so the download your seeing is preloaded files that are reinstalling they aren't map related if they where it would take lot longer than time it takes to do the download. The reason why it happens is when the SD card is removed some of the data can be corrupted so the unit just grabs it back off the sd card and then MAP data is read actively from the sd card they do not install witch is why navigation stops working with no sd card.

Hi, I just upgraded the map SD card for V12 (2022 version), but not the unit - which was sluggish to begin with - is even slower than before. If I upgrade the firmware as per your video, will it fix this lagginess? Also, could it affect the SD card with the map, and if so do you think it would be better to remove the SD card or replace the original one before starting the upgrade, just in case?

Updating the firmware would be a good thing however it's hard to say the exact changes your going to have and to what degree.... I've seen people install the update and never noticed a difference and orthers it's fixed all kinds of things and speed the unit up a fair amount.

@@Remote-Key-Repairon video you present NX version but in FL version. Mondeo from 2009 is vFL and main difference is that vFL is DVD variant and FL is SD card variant. I've got update for vFL version but it only brings polish language and black FL theme instead this brown one.

Updating the firmware could be a simple quick fix for this however it might not check your antenna asell.

I‘ve done all that and the loading part takes so long, my ignition turned of. Now the Display just shows Date and time.

Sp2015 is the latest firmware yes, Regarding the languages it would come with all the ones your unit currently has still.

I don't know the exact changes... Spent many hrs researching however couldn't find anything... I've done this over 100x now without an issue... the look and feel of the system stays the same however usually speeds things up, makes sounds better, system functions work better such as Bluetooth... I can't say what benefits u would see... Some customers see a huge improvement... Some customers find it fixed there issues with Bluetooth some don't really see any difference...

Make sure the lock tab on the left side of the SD card is pushed up... If no success contact me on my website with a photo of the SD card and a photo of your navigation system... Also is the SD card a new 2022 or old one ?

Same issue here, if i look up the guide for updating the software you need to disable the previous sd card before installing the new one, a service cd might be needed as well

@@firewulf1Hi if you have this error using your current SD card... Ensure the lock tab on the left is pushed up... If there is no success it's most likely a faulty SD card and you need a replacement... I sell them on my website - www.updateyourmaps.co.uk/product/ford-2022-replacement-sd-card-map-update-plug-and-play-for-mca-sat-nav/ I have never needed to do a software/firmware update to update the maps so that would be false... However updating the software is beneficial usually speeds things up a bit and makes things smoother on the navigation and radio. Any questions let me know 😊

Very instructive. Thank you. Any thoughts on why the version number on the new card is 12 and the old one 14? Seems to be the wrong way round.
