I think Waylon never forgave himself when they were joking with each other, Buddy said he hoped Waylon's bus crashed, then Waylon joked, I hope your plane crashes. This is the one where he forgets the words while singing live, but manages to cover it up so well & laughs about it saying it is the first time it happened ,& I love the way he says "eat your heart out Haggard. He apparently didn't like Merle Haggard after he had taken a lot of money from him while playing cards, I think be must have cheated on Waylon when Waylon was already going through a bad time with money. I have a few versions of him singing this.. one of them is shared with Elvis & the other is a live one where he forgot his words which he apologised for, but put over miraculously well by laughing & his buggitty boos, ha,ha.
