5:07 actualy , no , it because you flap during the transient animation if you flap while when you pull ( event micro second before the end ) it doesnt affect it

Short answer: no After you the speed boost griffon will continue downwards a little and you cannt do anything about it. That's why you want to boost as soon as possible so you can decide when to fly forward from a dive and don't facepalm the floor ^^'

@@katdrexed That's a great question, wish I had a good answer. Also, the orb at 2:32 needs a TP (I used summon flesh wurm) and the stairs drops are ridiculously precise timing-wise (zero cast time stunbreaks like "you're all weaklings" are very useful for cancelling the fall animation). Other than that, every orb can be obtained without mounts, swiftness, axe or superspeed! Just dodge for longer distances (can pick up orbs while doing the animation) and start running a little before the orb falls to build up acceleration and get to the next spot a bit quicker :)

I was so frustrated trying to fly the griffon, then came on YT for help. Found this and noticed I was making so many mistakes, like the flap after climb. Thank you very for this, now I can try later and see if I get less frustrated. xD Also, what's the song at 5:30?

The fast ones xD jkjk Dive+space to go fast then strafe keys and mouse. Avoid using Swoop, it's an attack button, not used for flying. :P

I had a bug last week when I swapped from skyscale to gryphon and my gryphon had infinite Bond of Vigor :D I think it might be something to do with rhe skyscale "mounting mid air gives bond of vigor" thing, I think maybe I swapped to gryphon just as the boon was getting applied, but man it was awesome, I flapped up super high :D

if you mount midair (both) you get a bov effect yes, but if it's infinite that's a bug yes Don't forget to remount the griff to reset the mounting height ;)

more flaps = more height regain faster Each flap pushes you upwards. 3 is maximum you can fit into the pullup here.

Don't even have a skyscale and don't care. I'm the first one to get to every rift anyways on a griffon. I realize it's my own preference but i just like things that fly like a plane more than things that fly like a helicopter. When i use that free skyscale in SOTO i just hate it. Its so wonky, slow, and keeps sticking to walls and ruining its own movement by doing so. If something is above my griffon i just fly up close and jump off using glider + jade bot glider boost to get on top of it. Works great. And so much more fun that that skyscale which NEVER elevates far enough to get up where you want. Everytime i'm like NOPE out of endurance, go back to that ledge over there and just use griffon lol.

With masteries skyscale can get a bit higher, but it will stay clunky and slow. Needless to say it's my great griffon launcher 😅 Quadruple spin with vigor and griffon go flap flap haha

I now want a game mode similar to wvw or just massive pve where flying mounts are allowed, I can imagine squads of high skill griffon riders being called in as flying cavalry that just swoop through the battlefield and destroy the backline, the emergent cinematic moments that this could bring, oh man wvw already reminds me of Planetside 2, just with less cinematic shenanigans you can pull off (like calling in a hundred people and dropping on a point in a 20 galaxy fleet, those were great)

That's exactly what we want too! Griffon Wars 2 pleeeease. Having griffon combat rven for pve would be great. In some maps you can already have a special avtion key and shoot things from your mounts, so why isn't it a mastery yet aaaa xD

Thank you for posting this helpful video! But when I press climb and dive after a certain gain of altitude I start to dive again - is this because I've hit my starting height again?

Yes exactly. You can't go much above your mounting altitude. It's a hardcoded cap. But you can always return to and slightly above where you mounted your griffon (or last touched the floor)
