Tek wrap 5d- hands down. Took my car to a local car show. Custom Porche Panamera owner stopped and said " I can tell that's real carbon fiber from a mile away" I didn't say it was a wrap. Went to look at his car- he had a 7k carbon hood... true carbon wing, interior- looked the same in the sun It's about the sheen. Tek 5d is gorgeous- don't stretch it much. There were a few tiny bot wraps- frankly it was obvious it was a wrap. Looks cheap in the sun- Thanks for this video!

@ColorChangeCustoms5 күн бұрын
You can wrap the whole guitar but you would have to do it in sections. Wrap the back, wrap the sides, wrap the front, etc.

Is this similar to the wood grain vinyl that vivid has.. looking to use on car trim also but heard it’s difficult around corners
@ColorChangeCustoms14 күн бұрын
From my understanding, no. The wood grain vinyls I believe are in their architectural vinyl series, whereas this forged carbon fiber vinyl is automotive vinyl. The architectural wood looking vinyl is much thicker than automotive vinyl and generally for flat surfaces (tables, desks, cabinet doors/sides, etc.), so yes, it can be difficult to apply around corners.

You should of used regular tape...
@ColorChangeCustoms14 күн бұрын
I have tried electrical tape, masking tape, painters tape, scotch tape, and duct tape--even sealing those tapes down as best as possible, the epoxy made it's way under each of those tapes and became hard to remove. I found vinyl wrap to be the best seal so far since I can heat it and it seals really well and hasn't let any epoxy dripping under the tile back. If there's a specific tape you've had success with, I'm totally game for giving that tape a try.

Did you say 70% Alcohol and 30% water mix? Need to wrap my fender and this video was very helpful.
@ColorChangeCustoms20 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, typically I use an alcohol/water mix where roughly 70% of the mixture is rubbing alcohol (the alcohol itself being 99% pure, undiluted) and the rest water.

Only the first few letters of my design are showing up red to actually cut. How do I fix this?
@ColorChangeCustoms19 күн бұрын
It sounds like maybe your layout might not be sized correctly? Without seeing what you are, I don't know for sure. But around 2:30 in the video, I show how to adjust the layout of the "cutting" area by setting it to a custom size bigger than the graphic. In the page setup menu, ensure cutting mat is set to none. Then below that on the width and height custom sizes, adjust the length (or height, depending on how you are orienting your graphic) according so that it's bigger than the actual graphic you designed. Hopefully this helps.

Good job looks easy to do, is this cold resist like rain frost if you use this brand outside ? is it good sticky ? i had some other brand 2 years ago but it was a bad job and didnt work so i spray it black :(
@ColorChangeCustoms19 күн бұрын
Thanks and thanks for watching. The vinyl i used is automotive vinyl, so it's resistant to the environmental elements, to include cold and rain. The vinyl is sticky enough, but the surface you apply the vinyl to affects how well the vinyl will stick. If the surface is smooth and glossy, the vinyl will hold well. If the surface is matte or textured, the vinyl will not stick well.

Yeah, I could take out the tail light, but I found trying to wrap them off is harder because now the light moves around when trying to wrap it. Keeping the light on the truck for me is easier since it’s held in place.

Thank You!!! Only KZfaq video I’ve found that goes so in depth with this process. I’m retired military and never got my shadow box. I intend to laser cut my military patches shapes and adhere these printed stickers to them for a more authentic look, rather than ripping the originals off the garments they’re sown on. I’m wondering if there’s a printable sticker paper I could use, as adhering the laminate to paper appears daunting to old man shaky-ass hands?

Thank you for your service! And thank you for watching. As far as printable sticker paper, I do have a link in the video description to the printable vinyl sticker paper I used in this project. Here are links to some others that I've used that have worked well for me also. Joyez brand: amzn.to/4ebVQPV Zicoto brand: amzn.to/3XfHtEj Luxoton brand: amzn.to/3x1anxg

I see videos of the vvivid ultimate headlight tint and people installing it from a couple years back but does it still have the purple-ish color still to this day? What would you recommend for a good headlight tint
@ColorChangeCustoms29 күн бұрын
I personally haven't seen the purplish tint that some folks have mentioned. As far as a recommendation of headlight tint (one that's dry install) that isn't VVivid Ultimate... Probably the regular VVivid tint (I used to use that a lot before Ultimate Tint was released) or Luxe, which I have a comparison video on the channel as well.

Find it best practice to shrink your corners first b3fore any cuts. That way it won't shrink afterwards.
@ColorChangeCustoms29 күн бұрын
Not a bad idea, if nothing else it's added insurance. But DiNoc is so rigid and according to 3M "dimensionally stable" that it doesn't shrink. But, keep in mind DiNoc is an interior application only vinyl, used generally in climate controlled conditions. So the chances of it shrinking, if it would, are likely very slim.

I so wish this worked. It's so bad.(Device not your method, no critique there) Cant read registration mark! Can't use gloss paper. Can't use glitter paper (print and cut)
@ColorChangeCustoms29 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear that. I use gloss paper all the time and haven't had issue (I've not used glitter paper though). I have seen on some forums that when the Cameo can't read the registration block and marks, to ensure the area your Cameo is in is well lit. Not sure if that would work in your case.
