Would btcc be more popular if they ran TCR regulation like the rest of the world. So cars from all round the world can race. Like back in early super toureres and they then had a few "world " races and "euro" races where drivers can use the car they race. But the BTCC is the only championship that run the NGTC regulations. Also another point has the intrsr in "cars " ingeneral died off slightly. Less modified cars on the road etc so less people intrested.

Heated steering wheel and seats are a must. They are standard in the lowest ID3 trim. If you don't want to use the heater in winter to extend dramatically the range.

The TT is still a fantastic looking/beautifully designed car, inside and out. But I can't stand when they have the fixed rear wing/spoiler. Completely ruins the iconic TT lines for me.

I have one since 3 weeks and super happy with it! it does charge a bit quicker though, I have a 11 kw wallbox and charge full in 5h45. Although I usually put it on 7,7kw (here in Belgium you have to pay for peak consumption)

just personally speaking I think it's probably more popular right now than its been in the last 20 years. every year I go to the track the crowds are noticeably bigger, seems like every 3 or so years they sign a new long deal with ITV, more and more people I know who aren't even racing fans have been talking about watching it. it will never be as big as it was in the 90s just because they were throwing F1 money at it (which was unsustainable). it's a shame because what everyone wants is big teams and big international names coming over and racing, but it's just not like that anymore. the collapse of tcr and dtm is disappointing, especially because touring cars as a concept seems to be fading away for more gt style racing. I do think the BTCC is very much alive and well, but the next couple years are very important to get right. the impression is that teams are leaving and the cars are too expensive.. the truth is a lot of the teams that have left were either already struggling or relied on manufacture backing (like dynamics with honda). it's just part of the cycle, but they have to make sure it doesn't keep happening. (just my opinion) I've been enjoying it more over the last 5 years and I think the last 3 or so seasons have only gotten better.

I have a 2024 Kia Sportage PHEV Xline Prestige in the US. 2 months in and I average 95% of my driving is on EV mode and 5% HEV. On EV only, I get around 40-42 miles range per 85% battery usage in daily suburban driving 35mph to 40mph speed limit (down to 15% car will switch to HEV). I always drive about 5 mph over the speed limit. Kia has it at 34 miles range on EV, but I'm averaging 6-8 miles range above. So I would guess the 34 miles range is for drivers with a heavy foot. My final verdict is EV range is above the advertise 34 miles range spec.

Mine will be delivered in 5 weeks, gone for connecta trim due to receiving 2nd degree burns in my bmw 430 off the leather 2 years back when we got 40+ degrees. Also didn’t see the need for heated seats as I very rarely used them in the bmw, maybe 10 times in 2 years, if they had a cooling seat option then I might’ve considered it….cant wait, loved the test drive when we bought it, 👌🏻

@@CarChatTV Firstly I gotta say I'm enjoying watching your content and I've just subscribed. Keep up the good work! I just really struggle with any JLR 4x4 product. They are just not fit for purpose and objectively lack the quality and reliability that is required for use outside of an urban area. I say this as a recovering Land Rover tragic who learned the hard way! Pick any Toyota wagon from the equivalent era and it will do what it says on the tin and do it reliably. I would also say it won't be quite as comfortable, or have quite the same on road manners but it will (almost always) get you there and more importantly back home again. I guess in summary I'd say if you can't afford to buy a any new RR, Defender or Discovery and flip it before the warranty ends you simply can't afford one. They are money pits and will just cause heartache. Looking forward to more of your content mate - just watched the GV80 review.

My Sportage PHEV is almost identical to your tester. The Sportage in Germany, other than being left hand drive has adaptive dampers for the suspension which give the car a great ride. I use pure electric mode for in city driving, which I love because it‘s not only most efficient in the city, the silent running calms nerves in city traffic. On autobahn trips I use HEV mode, which barely ever taps into the electric range, effectively saving most of the charge for the city. (For me, in effect “save mode”). With mostly autobahn driving, I used 3/4 of a tank of fuel, and my electric range went down from 70 to 60 km, and that mostly because I often forget to select HEV when I start out driving. It would be nice if the car “remembered” the last drive setting. I charge my car once or twice a week for what I need. I don’t expect free charging (no free lunch). I use my Kia Charge account which gives me access to most charging companies, at least here in Germany. Just one time registering, inputting payment method and then you’re all set. Curiously the best price for charging is by my local utility, the Stadtwerk München at 50 cents per kilowatt hour. (It was 29 cents before the war in Ukraine broke out). I hope your experience improves. All the best.

Haven't been to a race for years, so I thought I'd take the Mrs and our 7 year old to the BTCC at Brands a couple of weekends ago. Had I quick look on-line, and quickly made other plans. The GATE PRICES now... crazy... extra if you want a Grandstand... plus the food, plus the merch that the little boy will obviously want. TV only for us, I'm afraid.

I used to follow it. I've even gone to physically watch it a couple of times, in the 90s. Now I just find it dull I'm not sure why that is exactly. The cars are pretty bland I find If I watch it at all I will watch race one or some of it and then wander off to do something else. Mind you it's a similar thing with F1 for me these days as well.
