I wouldn't say luck, but's God grace. Didn't they ever wonder about that?...Why me, why us?....There were lessons and wisdom in their lives..Was her voice luck...no, not at all imo..She was called to entertain ppl..Then she had to overcome difficulties to take her "voice" in other directions. .We all have a calling and a mission. She fulfilled hers, but luck had nothing to do with it. Just continually thank God, Julie...He still has things for you to learn!

I have been curious about P.L. Travers, after seeing Saving Mr. Banks, and I'm glad Julie Andrews took the time to share her memories. By the way, a really fun movie. Of course, like any 10-yr.old at the time (more than 50 years ago now), I saw Mary Poppins more times than I can recall. Isn't Julie Andrews a peach.

Jack Warner should have waited for Julie for "My Fair Lady" instead of a known actress. There just have might have been another Oscar.

The Preacher lol a “wicked troll”? Lol you are one small insecure bible thumping clown who can’t bare to see married woman take control of their careers. She had a choice no one made her do the film if she was uncomfortable at any point her husband would most certainly respect her choice to abstain from doing the movie. But she went forth with it because she was ready to take this step in her career. It is that mutual respect that kept there marriage going until his death. And it can’t be adultery you uneducated dimwit because they’re both conscious of the action and consented also they’re only PRETENDING to have sex no one is actually being penetrated.

Holding back tears. But am thankful that God blessed them with such enduring love and friendship together as well as with such a beautiful family. Julie is so poised and loving. There is such kindness and strength and depth of caring in her tone and delivery. She is so regal and yet so WARM! Just a lovely lady! I am praying that God restores and completely heals her beautiful "gift", as she always refers to it, that in so doing, her heart will be even more full than it is right now. God bless her and her family. :)

Beautiful sentiments. Cannot top them. I cannot imagine Ms. Andrews not going a day without a song. Whilst the radio is one I bet she sings along even though she cannot get those high notes anymore. She is indeed regal & poised. A truly magical person & loved the world over.
