Porini was outstanding. One of my favorite trips ever. Excellent people. Tents are very nice, food was great, driver and spotter on the rides were amazing. If you can go? Get to Kenya and check it out.

The short attack to this young male was really violent, poor lad ... fortunately to him the two adults males did not insisted... the lesson was given ! Always a tough life for young lions, from cub to sub-adult... and later even as adults 😢 Hope that he will be successful and quickly on his own or may be with a brother or a friend 🤞🙏

It is Kenyan government policy to help rescue orphaned elephants and they facilitate efforts like this. In this case they provided the vet who sedated the calf.

At the 2 min mark - that is right outside Tent #6, where my Wife and Son stayed. We had hippos and elephants that woke us up at 3am, because they were eating the leaves and brush outside the tent. Absolutely amazing.

You are unlikely to see Rhino at Porini Cheetah, however, if you book the day trip to the Mara, you may see a sighting there. The best option would be to also stay at Porini Rhino camp. We have been there in 2017 and 2019, and have seen 14 black and 4 white rhino on the same day. In 2019, at Rhino camp, we saw 7 black and 7 white rhino. Cheetah camp has many cheetah, together with lion, buffalo, elephant and leopard.
