I’ve a suggestion. My only 4 motors are the little with anti-studs. So could you try making the smallest Lego car you can that effectively works on the terrain you test and more like sand.

The chassi without the actuators are exactly the same. He uses the whole construction from 9383

you should of used pneumatics because then you would still have suspension

At first it was planned to do it with a pneumatic, but it was decided to create it with rigid electric drives, because this is not a heavy real car, but a light plastic car and its weight will not be enough to squeeze the air in pneumatic cylinders. But everything is still ahead and maybe something similar will be done later, but with pneumatics... ;-)

Has anyone ever tried adding 1x1 tiles to the tread pieces? They would act like cleats on rough terrain and give you more traction.

In the second modification, not 1x1 tiles were added to the tracks, but long solid slats to increase traction. And the 1x1 tiles will have to be tried next time, but there were fears of losing them in the snow.

Would it be better if the suspended wheels weren’t sprockets? I feel like the suspension travel is being limited because of tension being created in the tracks? If you look at a tank, the only sprocketted wheels are the drive wheels.
