Look at the max catch series of rods for good budget rods. They offer euro specific rods for under $100.

spinning rods are still okay to catch trout tbh, you just need to treat it the same like a fly rod. Ultra light set up, nymph rig, with braided mainline to a long transparent leader, preferably fluoro. And the way you cast is to let the nymph drift just like nymphing on a fly rod. Attachments on the nymph like a spinning spoon wouldn't work out either.

is there a way to find good streams to fish without paying for it like you have to on trout routes? I don't like the idea of forcing people to pay for information on fishing xD it's wild

I 'd like to fish there, but with my luck, I'd go missing, only to be found by a hiker, with my half-eaten corpse being guarded by a rather large native feline.

@@hardmanfishing Yes, I noticed that. I just had to break your balls. A little bit. Do you wanna give up your source? And let me know where you were fishing. I do a lot of flight fishing around here. And the geography looked a little familiar, butt wasn't quite sure

Love the video, but you need to indicate what river/stream/bait to generate more excitement to fish. Seemed like you were selling "trout route".

I do everything from chasing small creek trout right through to deep sea for marlin .. fly spin and overhead all have there areas they excel in but for trout 100% fly (in my opinion) as you can be a lot more efficient with the fly where spin it’s just cast and wind .. fly is more technical but more versatile .. I left this comment at 0:57

Are you using a mono line with no indicator and a nymph? I love you vids but love the vids were you show what gear you use. I dont think there would be many viewers who would be upset about you showing what setup you use everyvid. I dont know why more people dont show there rigs and how there fishing. Anyway keep up the good work.

I've been fly fishing for 25 years n I'm STILL amazed how fishermen WON'T reveal where they're at!? This could be several places but hard to be sure, Most stretches of the Truckee are "noisy" this doesn't seem to be Truckee, Bridgeport is not "near" Reno?? Good fish though.. Just post the location for God's sake!!

When I started fly fishing ,my poor old dog got a lot of hair cuts for tieing flies 60 years ago and still doing it but dancing with Arthur has put a bit of a damper on it.(Arthritis ) By the way very nice job,and I think the younger kids who start to fly fish would be wise to listen Also my first date, I took her to my mother's basement and....showed her how to tie trout flies. She must have been interested in it cuz she is still with me 53 years later.. because I am no Tom Cruise or whoever. .Rick..

Cool set of videos. And I know what you mean by that feeling of having reaching a goal on your bucket list. Back in the '90s me and my buddies hiked up to Hidden Lake above Bishop in the Sierras (10,700') and I caught my first golden trout and that was definitely on my bucket list, that was quite a feeling holding a Golden. Thanks again for posting this video

Excellent video Andrew. What beautiful fish. I think one of the most enjoyable things about trout fishing is exploring new water. There's something about fishing a new stream and seeing what's around the next bend and what might be swimming there. Keep up the good work.
