Doesn't help having a xj like that, if your tires are harder than the rocks, thats ridiculous

Ha, I rode shotgun with Ron / Krash80 on one trip down there, the "We took a F350 Dualie up Lions Back" trip. I need to get back in touch with him.

Rock climbing like this is extremely difficult so having spotters are ok so you don’t trash your stuff.

Nice job. I have a video on my channel running the same line. BTW, your Jeep was one of inspirations when I built mine way back when.

I dunno... them Xjs just don’t look the same without the roof rack... you crawl all the way up the mountain and then you got nothing to tie your Christmas tree to? ... Santa’s watching....

Who are these jack wagon spotters that always have to reach out and touch the vehicle and otherwise run around like a useless loose dog?

Love this obstacle! It works a little easier if you approach at a very slight angle such that one tire (or two - front and rear) climb at once and not all four. It’s spooky too!!!!

Lower gears will help with the choppiness and less risk of a bounce caused rollover. This is a difficult obstacle glad it didn't roll. Cool XJ though!

That sad cheesy music, its amazing-I cried. Although I never got to participate in the Grand Slam, my wife and I bought a house in Kanab Utah and will be moving there soon. Tons of killer 4-wheelin out there. Just sayin'! Looks like the 98 ZJ will be going with us.
@Matp3456 жыл бұрын
Looks like he did one of those Goofy massive short arm lifts. Even my ZJ at stock height the rear tire favored the front of the wheel wells... I hate that. I hope long arm kits don't do that if I decide to go that route. I'll do leafs if that's what it takes

Yup that's why they call it Carnage, one of the best trails to watch people go through in person! I've got a good build on my tick but this is one of the only trails here I won't do, believe it or not this was one of the easier spots, your required to have a minimum of 35+" tires, front/rear lockers, spill kit, winch and roll cage recommend to even attempt it. The correct lines require body damage, I'm almost that build but no thanks I'll leave it to the trailered crawlers. Independence Trail is even more extreme.

Nice jeep. I love Blanca Peak! I took my yj up it a few years back and now I think my zj is ready for it, maybe I'll see you up there some time.
