As an Asian who speaks a few languages, watched plenty of KDrama, and have listened to plenty of K-pop, Korean is still very difficult to comprehend. Perhaps, my ears are tuned to other languages that have stronger consonant sounds. I have 2 months to learn some basic phrases before going there to live my best K-pop/ KDrama life.

I'm planning on going to Korea. I admit I'm scared. I'm scared of flying over the ocean, and I'm scared of accidentally being disrespectful

Hahah no worries! I didn’t make any reservations for the tea tasting and unfortunately im not sure what his english speaking level is since i was able to speak mandarin but he can probably speak a little since he mentioned that they get foreigners who visit sometimes!

1. Cycle from Incheon to Busan. See the real, rural, non-glutzy-Seoul Korea.
@chacmool25812 ай бұрын
I would encourage travelers to set their sights outside of Seoul too, and counter the stranglehold that it has on the country. Believe it or not, there is life outside of the capital city. You've been to Seoul? Have you been to Gwangju, Busan, Mokpo, etc.?

Hi Amy, this was such an informative video! Thank for all the pro tips. It really helps to hear from someone who has done it all and that too recently because things seem to have changed so much the last few years. Can I ask how you found a hostel to stay at-through goshipages? Also, would you recommend booking an airbnb instead? Do you think a week instead of two weeks would be enough time to look around and book a place?
@AdventuresofAwkwardAmy2 ай бұрын
goshiwons are definitely not for everyone, so i would recommend airbnbs if you like having more space. Goshipages is just for goshiwons, hostelworld and booking.com are good resources for booking hostels. If youre looking for a goshiwon, i think a week is plenty of time as long as you use your time wisely. I toured places for two days before moving in on the third so the process is pretty quick
