@@chewpekka Styrene sheets are your friend there. Sand them into shape and glue them in with your regular model glue. Tip for sharp bends: Stick some aluminium tape over the parts you want to keep flat, leave the bend area exposed and heat it with a hot air pencil.

Hi Mr. Rokr: Sorry, don't know your real name. Everything was going fine until I got to the part where thelocomotor tube was to be put on. It has flexabilility but no matter how hard I tried, after several times, a piece cracked off on the bottom and then a bigger piece broke off. It is not easy to put on that part which is Part C6 on illustration 6, , 2nd page, last assembly before the illustration 7 view. I was very careful but you need more than 2 hands to make certain as you are puitting on the part, that it wond break. I believe that you do have a replacement for it. I also have taken a picture of it. If you can please replace it for me and it I have to pay for it plus shipping, I will do so. It is just that I hate to put something together and not be complete. That part makes the locomotive for what it is. I will wait for your instructions. Thanks.

I must say, that this video is a delight to watch. Although it is fast, I still get more information here than other places I have been to. I do need some help. Everything was going OK after I started using elmers glue which worked quite well. It is a little confusing to me when it was time to add the wheel drives to the other wheels. It is not clear how the assembly takes place attaching the[art B22. B25 and to B2 which drives the two wheels. The little parts B 20 which 9is the one in question. I was glad I was able to use glue so there would be some stability. Otherwise, I would need four hands. I found that the parts were very easy to punch out from the board. It is a far cry from the very first edition of the train where I found problems. If you can please help me with the parts I have mentioned previously, it would really help me. Thanks a lot.

Looks pretty cool. How long were you thinking the ship has been crashed there? If you do a little bigger scales and more detail, one thing to think about could be the affect the crash had on the terrain. For example, did it cause a forest fire and burn everything down so there are dead trees everywhere, or is it all new growth all around it, or did it make a a crater and destroy everything around it like mountains as it was landing, or damn up a river and make a lake. That would definitely make it more unique!

Awesome build and beautiful result. But one single kraken seem to be way overdone. The real ship was about 242 m. long (Waterline), 33 m wide with up to 45,752 metric tons of weight... but as a seamans fairey ...

Brilliant looking work! Also here's a random shower thought i been having.. Every time we see some big capital ships wreck in the star wars movies, be it in space or planet side.. How long usually till the scavengers come and look the husks from supplies, weapons, ammo, still working components, hell maybe even shuttles or fighters and fuel? Or does, for example empire have a division dedicated on salvage an recovery of those thing so they don't fall in the hands of pirates/rebels/criminals?
@chewpekka
@chewpekka 2 жыл бұрын
Well, basing my opinion only on the movies, usually the giant wrecks only happen when the empire fails completely. At that point I would say they have other worries than keeping stuff out of scavengers hands. Also the rebels are probably too busy trying to set up a government to be able to police anything too far from the core. So, I would say that the end of episodes 6 and 9 are really good times to be scavengers and pirates 😀

How could a space ship fall to the ground and the broken pieces are so close to one another..... have you ever seen a rc plane hit the ground and how far the broken pieces scattered.
@degenetron7590
@degenetron7590 2 жыл бұрын
Youre comparing an rc plane to a 1.5km length spacehip. Bigger an object how "slower" it seems to move. So it wouldn't make any sense for that broken part to be super far away.

Great diorama. In reality, the Kracken better think twice about attacking a modern warship. It's not like the old days of wooden sailing ships. Even if the Roma's crew didn't have time to ready the main guns, the anti-aircraft guns will pulverize those tentacles. It would be a bad day for the Kracken.
@chewpekka
@chewpekka 2 жыл бұрын
As in most fights, it probably would be a bad day for all involved 😀 It has to be said that most armament on these kind of ships is not made for this kind of close combat. Best bet would be on depth charges possibly.

Not a big fan, sorry. The scale of the trees is all wrong, the river is way too blue, and the breakup is unrealistic. Hint: next time you want to show crash damage on a large vehicle, try defroming it with a hot air pencil. Gets you much more realistic damage effects.
