Und ich als PC gewöhnter habe mir jetzt einen Atari 1024 STFM im guten Zustand von einem Atari Liebhaber gekauft 🙂 Demo mit Video als Test und Bildern seiner Checks. Ein Hardware Check Modul oder sowas. Jetzt brauche ich nur noch ein Kabel auf VGA und dann ein VGA zu HDMI Converter. Da soll es auch brauchbares geben.

On stock 030 Falcon, yes. I saw videos with this Tracker on 060 Falcon with no flicker! Also on Hatari emulator there's no flicker, too.

@@RISCGames You might want to check ACE for another hardware related sound issue (at least it's one of the programs where you can hear that glitch easily): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pr2UrLCk1typc5c.htmlsi=dqWr5FFyYUIS_ZPN This deals with the clockpatch, which actually needs an additional resistor to get rid of this problem! At least the endpart music is included in the demo as an MP2 file, which can be played e.g. with VLC player on PC.

Had a 1040 STE as a kid and this was my all time favourite game. Been playing it on Hatari with an original Zipstick and USB adapter I got off eBay.

What blows my mind more than anything is the audio. I knew it had a powerful DSP chip but didn't realise what it was capable of. On the basis of this, it seems to blow the PC audio cards of the time out of the water. I don't think I got anything that could create anything close to this quality until the late 90s when I got a Yamaha sound card that was brilliant for music but even that, I don't think, was as good as this.

Das ist die Kaico Edition mit Hardware-Revision 1.6 (HDMI-Ausgang, frühere Revs hatten DVI). Aktuell ist die Rev. V1.8, die ein geschlossenes Gehäuse und Hardware-Modifikationen hat. Auf meinem OSSC läuft maximal FW 0.9, während auf den neuen FW 1.x läuft. Ja, man kann jeden ST mit geeignetem(!) Scart-Kabel anschliessen!

This title track is played when your Atari ST has 2MB Ram. If you have less memory, you get the ear-grinding "chip tune" version of that song.

That's not entirely true! My 520STM used in this video has 1MB and as you can hear, it plays the Digisynth version of the title music! With 512KB you'll hear chiptune. I used the Original Floppy disks of the game here. If you use the patched harddisk version from P. Putnik, then you're right. 1MB (minimum to run this version) for chiptune, 2MB for Digisynth.

This would be perfect on iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. One small nit: Make the alien that bangs on your cockpit look scarier. Somehow the C64 monster is more scary.

I'm not the author of this game! See link in the description. There also is a version for MacOS and Linux. In the actual version 1.1.0 new "jumpscare" sounds has been added for the Alien, at least a bit similar like on the Atari 8-Bit original.

Einen wunderschönen. Hast du/Kannst du eventuell gute Settings anbieten? Perfekte Einstellungen z.B für alle Retro Konsolen? PS1/2, GameCube, N64 etc? Wäre echt cool. Oder gibt es eine Seite (Wiki) wo die besten Einstellungen angezeigt wird? Sonst habe ich gegooglt usw .. aber alles auf Englisch und viel zu viel um da ein Überblick zu haben .... MFG Gohan.

Also DIE perfekten Einstellungen gibt es nicht. Das hängt viel zu sehr vom verwendeten Monitor usw. ab. Ich hab bestenfalls Einstellungen für den NTSC-Jaguar, aber die sind nur rudimentär. Ansonsten nur Atari ST, Falcon und Amiga. Das meiste ist nun mal auf englisch, da musste ich mich auch durchwuseln. Ich weiß bis heute nicht, was die meisten Einstellungen machen. Ich verändere hauptsächlich den Modus (2x, 3x usw.) und die Bildlage mit h-porch und v-porch. Es gibt ein Wiki (erster Treffer bei "OSSC Wiki" ^^), wo die Einstellungen erklärt sind usw., natürlich auf englisch. 😉

@@TPau65 Hab ihn für die PS5 damals gekauft (Gaming-Zimmer mit meiner Frau), 120 HZ, VRR, HDR. Perfekt. 8K sehe ich nicht ein. Niemals... zu teuer und macht kaum Unterschied. Ebenfalls für Retro ganz cooles Bild. Voralem was Schwarze Bilder angeht (Nachts im Spiel) usw.

You can automatically translate subtitles into any language! Just click on settings in the video, start subtitle (which are german on default in my case), click again on subtitle in settings and you'll find a translation function! Tried it with several of my videos and it works. Hope this helps. 😉
