I've come to find that zip ties, paracord, scout carry straps, and small Tek-Loks work much better for horizontal carry than the large bulky Tek-Loks.
@CNYKnifeNut3 күн бұрын
I've owned and used tons of two suns, and despite many presenting the appearance, not a single one fits the "workhorse" description. The slightest bit of use ends up presenting tons of problems. Improperly sized, soft stop pins and terrible lock geometry mostly, and usually in combination. Nothing impossible to fix, but I'd imagine it being a lot harder for people without access to a lathe and mill. I don't see the appeal anymore. You used to be able to get $150 of knife for $90. Now you're getting $100 of knife for $125.

I bought one about 2 weeks ago. Its reliability and fuel retention are unmatched. It’s been my daily since I bought it and I think I’ve missed one strike since I’ve used it. It just doesn’t have that cool iconic zippo sound when you open and close it.

I have the same on different exterior design, very wind proof as I am a seafarer and the port is quite windy. The only thing that makes me regret, actually minor detail, as I smoke in pipe, is that the wind make the flame become to "alive" obviusly, causing the chimney to become very hot to the touch and it is when a lid as zippo's come handy. Other than that great feeling and weight. You can get it on e bay for about 30 usd. Mine I got it in Emirates for about 23 usd.

@edgblades3 ай бұрын
I am having no problem with mine. Then again, I usually use my index finger. If you have a work sharp belt sharpener, file or sandpaper-you probably can use it to sand down whatever hot spots if it’s too sharp for you. That’s the great thing about G10. Thanks for watching!
@hawleyfromhell3 ай бұрын
@@edgblades Ah. I mean closing the knife. They kind of hollowed out the scales where you disengage the knife with your thumb. It's not the greatest amount of space to close with the thumb.

I might be able to shave down the G10 on the front of the knife.

100% same problem with the super strong detent. Bought it direct from CJRB. Told them the problem, sent a video of it on their request. They sent a mailing label for return and sent a new one. The replacement is same as the first one. I have a couple of dozen CJRB/ Artisan knives and this is the first one I've had a complaint with. I love everything about the knife except for the crappy action. It's not the design, it's the execution.
