@@jeannetteryals6180 I will be sure to check those videos out. Im a guy, and believe it or not, somebody told me that hula hooping will help them in "personal" arenas, such as when one is with a partner, due to the musles being used and the movement of the hips. I was wondering if that is true...?

I thought it was easiest to start a bit heavier like 3.5 pounds- it isn’t like a regular hula hoop so the lighter it is- the more difficult it is to keep it moving continuously

I’m struggling. But I will keep on practicing. I did get it at some point few years back using my friend’s as she was teaching me what to do. Not I bought mine. I really want to get it. Edit: day two is much better. I got to do both dominant side and non dominant side. But seems to stay up longer on the non-dominant side. Pleasantly surprised. Was able to keep it up for about 1 minute long compared to 3 seconds yesterday. Thanks for the video. So helpful.

@jeannetteryals6180 Жыл бұрын
Hi there- any cardio can help to Lose weight I it I done for 30 plus min several times per week- make sure your physician give you the ok-- the beauty of using a weighted hoop is that it helps build muscle endurance as well as cardio endurance-- just add on a couple of minutes more to each session until you can keep your heart rate at a nice even pace-don’t forget strength work and take a good look at what you are eating--- because we can’t out exercise what we eat as we get older Once your doctor gives you a thumbs up -- just have fun

I know this is an old video but I was wondering about the water inside. Does it ever mold or anything and how long does it stay 'fresh'? This was a GREAT video and idea. I searched on how to fill my hoop (I bought a foam sectional one from ***zon) and this video came up. 💖 _
@jeannetteryals61802 жыл бұрын
Hi- I have never opened any of my hoops up unless I have snapped them by spinning them so fast - I have broken 2 after years abd years of use…… when I cut them open to repair them I have never smelled any type of mold( and I can smell mold even if other can’t so I’m super sensitive)…… the way I make them they are air tight so whatever water I put in is what’s in there when I open them up even if I snap them the connectors are still there and I have to cut them out. So, if you make them like this as long as you use a connector like this it should stay sealed--- but, another option would be to take your foam one and pad it just like I do these and it will work very similar- like I do in the second video of making it padded Hope that helps!

( my brain was busy paying attention to the tv ) and my body finally got the rock of the feet and push of the hips-- keep trying- you will get it

Hi Jeanette! Thank you foryour great videos...does a weighted hoop filled with sand present any difference technique wise?
@jeannetteryals61802 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have never tried a hoop weighted with sand but if it travels within the hoop similarity I would think the technique would be more like water weighted hoops vs. say a regular lite weight hula hoop. With light hoops it’s more of a hip swirl vs. the weighted hoop of the rocking back and forth on your feet Hope that helps and thanks for watching
