I would not have bought it. 2 years ago. I went through a 1/5 scale building spree. I spent about $25,000. They're they're fun but you can get caught up in the build. Personally, I don't like buying pre-built that's why I build bajas because I can do them differently. Like I'm about to start a on-road drag Baja. I just finished putting together an engine with a bar alone top end, but I guess as long as you don't regret your purchases, you're good

Bargain, leave it as it is clean it up much harder to get hold of , convert the raminator then you could always change it back to the original petrol engine thats still like new .

great vid and thanks for sharing. i just bought a 91 gt 5 spd w a factory sunroof. paid 5700 for it and engine is stock. has exhaust, clutch, shorty headers, cobra rims, 410 or 11 gears, cervini twin turbo hood and a pillar gauge pod. not really sure if i like the hood yet lol. its black w gray tweed leg support seats. needs a headliner right now and the seats need a quick clean job. has white face gauges as well in it. the fact its rust free and wasnt 15k shocked me. i was lookin 4 a while for sure. when i was looking it wasnt just the prices that were high lol.

If you are going to bash. I would stay off the aluminum parts as much as possible...

It's tough, but has issues. The drive cups get chewed out. Even the upgrade ones. You need to adjust the droop a bit to make th shafts more parallel to the ground. The green body breaks super easy. Also the rear shock tower scre was bend super easy and do does the wheelie bar.

I use fishing reel grease on my rc cars I've been doing rc cars for 20years and my older cars are still in good condition 😮😎👍

i have some bashes but i also have a Tamiya avante and egress with nice paint jobs i hardly ever run if at all, those 2 would be shelf queens, but i also have a nice body and wheels for my talion so it looks like a shelf queen when on the shelf and a basher body for when its not

Keeping the RC cars and staying on top of the maintenance will basically keep your caars in like new condition. It's a lot of work but that's the fun in it, the wrenching. It's basically like a actual vehicle. I have a hard time running another one of my cars it one of them is broken. I'm really attached to the hobby and enjoy my collection. I'm subscribed so hopefully you do a Traxxas mud boss unboxing soon. I plan on picking one up. It just looks insane.

Do what makes you happy man. I personally drive the crap out of my r.cs . Can't afford the big brand so I get the cheaper ones and run them through hell and laugh maniacally in the yard haha! Got the mjx h14bm and it's soo much fun once I changed the servo and heat fans.

Theses cars are investments in one way if you look at it. And just looking at these things are dammmm neat!!!! Just the engineering that goes into it. Prime example the Traxxas ultimate X cars. When i come home from work, i usually walk around my collection and just enjoy looking at them. It would be pretty boring to have money just sitting in your bank account when you can buy something with it and gives you enjoyment, and still have a potential of making even more money on them then what you have in it. Absolutely nothing wrong with letting your RCs sit!!!!! Let me know if you think the rustler ultimate is a good car to pick up, as i don't have one in my collection. Keep racing!!!! This is the way I look at it, you do with it whatever makes you happy! I was out of the hobby since 1989 and sold everything, 5 years ago I got back into the hobby when I was living in Laughlin Nevada, it was great there I could walk next door and I was in the desert it was a great place to run my off road RC's then we moved to Las Vegas where there's not as many place close to me to go play and then with work and my wife became disabled and that takes a lot of my time and I don't get much time for my RCs, I have 104 RC's and I love them all even though I haven't been out to run them in 4 months I very much enjoy looking and blowing the dust off them, so at this time they are all Queen and Kings but when I retire in August you're going to see one hell of a dust storm out in the desert.

Get the rlaarlo carbon fiber Omni . It’s affordable and hella fun to jump . Seen that mjx 10802 1/10 coming and heard it’s already getting a v2 for the chassis and body latch . I paid for a k6s brand new , it’s nice but it was pricey imo .

Love hearing the prices. Here in TX most sellers are wanting $100 under full retail for beat up trash.

Key boxes for me are electronics & diffs brotha… main thing I check then the overall condition of a used car 99% of the time people want way to much for their old beat down crusty rc car.. so I tend to buy new.
