It's cool to see just how popular this game is with the ladies, I'm not surprised really, I just noticed when I Google search "gwent tutorial" or "nilfgard starter guide", as I scroll through the results, it's almost all women, where are all these women irl? Most the women I know don't like these games. Thanks for the guide, very helpful!

Brian is my favorite Dad. He's Bae. I found out some other things in the game where you can die in it (had no idea) and there was a dark story in there too. Really enjoyed this game

So odd to look back on this - in some regard the older version actually had a better, more informative UI and overall presentation than the newer version. Gwent is weird man. I love the game, but you can really feel that it's not a huge priority for CDPR and that's sort of a shame - I think the game is already great, but just imagine how much better it could be were they to actually devote resources to it!

First of all, love your videos! In this one I would just like some additional information, which cards would you discard from the deck to add the end/best/upgraded cards? 😊

i've watched half this video, another hour beginner video and the game "tutorial". let the record show i have NO IDEA what i am doing still and certainly no idea why i'm doing it, because none of these videos go into why or how the game works. no tips no guide no patterns nothing. all these videos on these games just show stuff and never explain it. in all this content there's nothing. it's rather useless. this game seems overly complex and so far i haven't seen anyone that wants to simplify it.

Lol, Joachim says that the guy who was his lecturer in his university days(so at least in his 30s back then), hasn't changed in 40 years, and you just go, "doesn't make sense," and think nothing of it. The guy is in his 70s at least, maybe 80s, but doesn't look a day over 40. Clearly not a human being. Such a huge flag being waved and you totally miss it. This ADHD kiddie playstyle, where you run around trying to get things over with, instead of immersing yourself in the world, taking it slow and enjoying the ride, is really meh. I've stuck with it this far since you showed promise at the start and were quite bright, but I've had enough, it's clearly not going to get better.

When chasing after Dundeelion, you didn't even notice that the trail you were following upon intersecting with a busier road indicated in two directions. So you asked "why was I even supposed to talk to this guy," while not noticing the second set of tracks. Luckily for you, though, since you didn't pay attention to what the peasant said either, since he told you that the rider carrying Dandy turned left, but you still went right :D Luckily because that would have been a wrong trail. As to the cabaret, Dandy definitely likes theatrical decoration more, and if you had picked it, he would not have been yearning for boudoir, but in fact have been quite happy with your choice.

"The witcher code," is something made up by Geralt so he can avoid getting dragged into messy situations. An excuse he uses when he doesn't want to do something, as people respect a code more than a no.

Unholy luck you have there with your card draws in that tournament at the ball. Got both of your spies every time you drew a hand. I usually have to reload a bunch to get any, since they are so op, you'll probably lose if you don't draw them against good decks.

You clearly weren't listening to the baron's story. He clearly said that she came at him with a knife and would have killed him if he hadn't dodged her and only way he could calm her down was to strike her. Striking someone who's trying to stab you is more than reasonable. It's like you had already made up your mind and weren't listening for more than just signs that he was at fault. Btw, contrary to modern media and feminist propaganda, domestic violence is not at all one sided. On cases where only one side is violent, women are more likely to be perpetrators but most cases are reciprocal, as in they both beat each other. Usually the first thing an apologist does when they hear that is say that women are weaker so they don't do that much damage, but that's why they're much more likely to use force multipliers like the knife in this story. The female partners violent tendencies are quite well illustrated in the domestic violence epidemic among lesbian couples.

"This is surprisingly colorful for an inn." - Not really, the grey and dirty peasants you see in every hollywood movie are just that, a modern invention. People have always loved color and tried to decorate their clothes and living spaces with it.

Thanks for your advice. Can you or anyone help with this problem: when I use the invigorate ability I have to pick four cards. But, after I do so, the game won't let me play a card, and one gets eliminated! I guess I should use this ability after I play a card, not before? Is that the solution? Must I play an unboosted card first?
