Conventional implants are superior since bone grafting is a must. Basal implants do away with bone grafting and is not optimal. Basal implants are a way for dentists to make profit in a quicker time scale.

Conventional implants cannot be placed in thin bone. They need bone graft as their neck is thick, because it has to allow the telescoping abutment and the screw. Single piece basal implants don’t need bone graft. They pass through the thin crestal bone and anchor in basal bone. Patients want tooth replacement. They don’t know about bone grafting, and they are not asking for bone grafting. If a tooth can be replaced without bone grafting, there is nothing like it.

@DrmotiwalaDentalClinic that's why i said bone grafting is required for conventional. Also, it is the responsibility of the dentist to educate and give the option of bone grafting because to preserve bone is of utmost importance. Dentists are taking the shortcut in peoples health. Less time, to make more profit with basal implants hence more money for the dentist in a shorter time. This is a scam.

@@DrmotiwalaDentalClinic I live in orange county CA. My dentist told me the cost to implant one of my front tooth is $5000. Insurance does not pay for dental implant. Most likely I will end up in Mexico for the treatment.

I am also a satisfied patient of Dr Irfaan Motiwala having been to his old clinic first and the new one in 2020. Being a very nervous patient I did find the treatments intensive but the results at the end of the day are what really matters.
