I like the original version better. It supports the overall theme of the song, the citizens of Hatchetfield accusing each other and sending blame to anyone but themselves.

Nick said they wanted to have a Charlotte cameo as well, but it just wasn't in the cards. Where do you think they would've fit it into the song? Maybe in place of accusing Donna? Maybe she'd make a comment where they spliced in Barry's second shot?

They replaced Jerry with Gerald, I can imagine they would have used Charlotte for Charlie instead. I can totally imagine Charlotte saying "What? How DARE YOU" with her accent. Because let's face it, Charlie wasn't exactly memorable in Nightmare Time. Pretty sure he was thrown in to replace someone else.

I don't like that the joke "Bailey's on the loose and he's got a gun and he's got a motive to kill!" "I'm a cop!" was just copy pasted but the punchline was changed so it no longer makes sense.

Yeah, the "man in a hurry" character that Jeff plays is actually named Barry Swift. This was revealed in one of the "Nightmare Time" episodes. Jerry (Boy Jerry) and Girl Jeri are also from "Nightmare Time".

@@janNowaTheoretically you could make a LONG string of not-actually-canon connections about Barry being the one to play the Father in TTO (as it was confirmed to be performed at the Starlight) and have him be carrying the prop rifle to the theatre (as he's in a hurry to get ready for the show) which is funny but requires a whole lot of outside setup and doesn't solve the problem of the line not working for him, since (obviously) this isn't actually true and therefore has no implications of such in the filming (it'd probably be best shown with him also carrying the hat used in the show).

The Jerry's (Boy Jerry and Girl Geri - I think is the spelling), are two abstenance counselors from Nightmare Time Season 2. Highly reccomend (the story is called Abstenance Camp). @@sumguy789654

They're important characters in the Nightmare Time episode Absitence Camp where all three main characters of Nerdy Prudes Must Die are also the leads.
