You can marvel at the Sri Lankan Master. He didn't need any gauges to measure . It was pure feel and what was in his brain. A true artist. No amount of AI will take out this unique human skill. Burmese Rubies would have been even better but not much is coming out of there. If you need the best gem cutters go to Sri Lanka.

I had purchased one of these stone pendant from Ali express in 2018. It was a green pendant smaller in size with the same photo Luminous property, the seller called it Luminous Flourite stone. But the strange thing is that I had locked it away in a suitcase for months and when one i opened it up it had a faint afterglow. Now i have Masters degree in physics so i was a little worried. There are 2 types of these stone, one is Lighter shade of green in appearance with less of the sparkling on the surface, this one glows green, blue green and sky blue. Then there is another one which is Dark green in appearance and has lots of sparkling on the surface, which glows Dark blue. Under short wave UV, they fluorescence and when u swtich off the light u can see it phosphorescence, both green in colour.

are you saying it might be nuclear reactor waste material?

@@gristlevonraben No, it's Strontium Aluminate mixed with jade or Aventurine powder with epoxy resin as the binding agent.

They're fantastic but they seem extremely dark compared to many classic Burmese stones, I can't help but feel they're marketed aggressively- not because they're the best rubies, but because they're the most profitable for mine owners and dealers. They're not lively "glowy" gems.

very well done . I love the passion for facts and professionalism . I'm Canadian but had the pleasure of working with Swiss jewellers for 20 years . Kind of a flash back seeing the host's drive and scientific approach . A well educated country from what I see.

very sorry about this deplorable situation . Hopefully something changes in favor of the citizen's ability to do what they have traditionally done . I guess it's a political issue ( greed) . Well presented video , thanks ,retired goldsmith Canada

I am a retired goldsmith . During my career I had the privilege of working with Swiss jewellers for 20 years in Vancouver Canada . Man are they ever well trained . A dream training really . So I soaked up a lot of great skills while there . Don't be late to work haha old school professionalism .

Meh. I'm not impressed. I got a 52.5 carat Ruby off of Amazon that looks better than that. And I only paid $40 for it. lol
@dustybrown45994 ай бұрын
It's hard to tell if you're naive, joking, or trolling. You most likely bought red glass or a composite 'ruby,' definitely not a natural, untreated ruby. Amazon sells fake gems. It may serve a purpose for you, but it's not even close to the gem in the video. I don't doubt that yours could look better though.

@@jimjam6598 Lab ruby is easy to make. That's why it's funny to me that people would spend millions of dollars on rubies just because they were dug out of the ground. What if someone figured out how to make synthetic gold. Would dirt gold be worth more than lab gold just because it was dug up? People are so silly. XD

It is incredible that there are people who are professionals in cutting gemstones because of the fact that. You don't want to sell them your raw stones, they will come out after your stones. They are false and even more so are these people who have been working for years making jewelry and even begin to offend you when you tell them that there are rough stones of greater weight and size and they behave like children.
