There's gonna be no damage unless the off road is going to scrape the bottom or something. You might just need to clean chain and air filter sooner, especially if road is dusty. These Japanese bikes won't just break down like that.

My personal choice is the NK because I prefer a more upright seating position, a lower price would just be an additional bonus. That's a tough decision since the engines are the same, but it can be narrowed down by deciding what is more important to you as a rider. Do you want more comfort or more precision? Comfort = Eliminator Precision = Z500 Classic or new-age styling? Classic = Eliminator New-Age = Z500 Low Seat height vs. Taller Seat Height? Low Seat = Eliminator Taller Seat = Z500 Passenger Comfort? More comfortable = Eliminator Less Comfortable = Z500 Those are just a few criteria you can use to help narrow down you decision, but it always helps to write out the pros in cons of each one and do a more in depth analysis yourself to truly solidify which one is going to serve you best. I found the throttle was overall very smooth in modes B/C while mode A did provide that responsiveness I was looking for. @@mindzeyeproductions8560 I don’t expect an update every year, that’s not what was suggested or implied. The R3 has been mostly the same since it was introduced in 2015 aside from the additions of inverted suspension, standard ABS, and some cosmetic changes. With more competitive models available at similar prices, it makes sense for Yamaha to update the R3 and improve it. Is it bad? No. Is it worthy of a successor? Yes.

Give me a CFMOTO 450 in any capacity over this bike all day. Easy choice! Do the dew! Cheers 🥂

There is a reason they havent changed it dude. Its a great bike that keeps up just fine with the 400 and 450cc bikes. I outrun my friend on a 500cc Suzuki every time.

Great question. The 300 platform from CF is a single cylinder that is more akin to being compared to a Honda 300(Rebel 300, CB300R, etc.). The 300cc machines have a relatively low power output (~30 horsepower) compared to the R3, and they don't do quite as well when it comes to interstate travel (65+MPH zones). They are a bit more fuel efficient and lightweight since they are lower CC, but they do have some imbalance that makes them vibrate quite a bite compared to the 2-cyl engine of the R3. Pricing is very attractive on the CF 300cc machines, but they do leave a bit left to be desired as far as power is concerned unless you live in a somewhat dense urban area.
