Ich frage mich, wieso das Blut bzw. das Plasma in ca. drei Runden abgegeben, bzw. zurückgegeben wird? Wird bei der zweiten Entnahme dann nicht dasselbe Blut „gezogen“, welches gerade wieder zugeführt wurde?

Nicht ganz, es erfolgt eine Trennung. Das plasma wird abgeleitet und der Rest kommt retour. Das Herz schlägt weiter und verteilt das Blut ohne Plasma im Körper. Deine ca 5-6 Liter Blut nehmen die 100ml plasmafreies Blut auf. Natürlich sinkt die gesamte plasmakonzentration im Körper ab, doch darum gibt es ein Oberlimit der Menge. Das Herz fördert in Ruhe ca 6 Liter pro Minute, es ist also eine ganz schöne Strömung vorhanden. Die rückgeleiteten Blutzellen verteilen sich also im Nullkomma nichts und erzeugen wieder ein homogenes Blutgemisch.

you're not a universal donor, that would be blood type o-, AB can only donor to AB but receive from all blood types. O can donate to all bloodtypes but receive only from o

Don’t be Squamish! I read people with AB blood type are the humanist. They are meant to be loving and gentle to people naturally. They are heroes and naturally sympathize with others. They are known to work in humanitarian places.

No but you should call your local donation center to see if/when you can donate. I know it's 8 weeks from last blood cell donation.

I donated yesterday and I think I died for a few mins. Felt extremely hot and lightheaded. Got the attendants attention. She rushed over and started putting ice packs on me. I was pouring sweat and couldn't breath then I was floating in the clouds. When I came to I was surrounded by attendants and a nurse was rushing over. I heard one attendant tell the nurse I was seizing. Then I got very sick, luckily I said I felt sick before I feel out so there was already a bag ready for me. I have donated many times before and never reacted like that. Often experienced lightheadedness and fatigues, sometimes for days after but this experience scared me. I'm still not feeling right. What bothered me most in hindsight was the fact that they just sent me on my way (and tried to short me $25, had to call later to get full amount). No one made sure I had a ride (I drove but knew I didn't need to drive so contacted my husband to pick me up but no one there suggested it or ensured it). Was told I would have to call later in the week after their doctor reviewed the incident to see if I'd be able to donate again but no suggestion that I follow up with my physician. I won't be donating plasma again ...

No side effects whatsoever, not even pain, they're just taking plasma and returning blood as whole. It's safe, and will save lives

It's different for everyone. I've been donating about a year twice a week. I'm always wiped out after donating. Just tired. It is different from cell donation because you won't feel light headed unless you do something to thin your blood like smoke and drink right after. Some people do pass out during donation but I think that's mostly a mind over matter or poor preparation. Be WELL hydrated when you go in. I only have pain in my arm if they wrap my gauze too tight in which case you can rewrap it but do keep it on for at least an hour after. If it hurts rewrap but make sure it's still tight worst case just hold pressure on the injection site. Ask for a cross wrap instead of a straight wrap that helps.

Do you get payed? if you do then you don't supply him with anything, the company's freeze the plasma and ship it out to be turned into powder for medications. Unless you are donating at a non profit plasma center( this is were he would get plasma from, not the big profit plasma centers) And its not Donating, if you are getting paid.
