Do you run under ev too? I have the feeling that there are many colluders. I run 15.000bb under ev in 2 months. Every hand they stackoff with rando hands and i lose. Especially the all in straddlers run over ev against me. Also the average hand strenght is probably rank 20 instead of 50. Its so weird

That kjq8 is just about the least vulnerable hand you can have and its very hard for anyone to put in more money when you go big. 6min in.

about the checkraise with 833 boat on the low board (min 19.30), i would say against vpip 17, maybe reggish player i wont xr and also maybe against very tight postflop players, if they size it through like that. his turn barrel already kinda looked quite funny and something like what he had when considerung your blockers and a tight opening range. :D

Hi Luuk, was playing these games last night, at the end of the session I pick up AA84 (single suited to the ace) and raise from utg, mid position calls and small blinds ( tight reg) 3 bet, I 4 bet and we ended up getting it all in pre flop, he had slightly over 200 big blinds and I had 900 big blinds, he had AAQJ double suited and I he flopped the nut flush and I lost, should I have just called his 3 bet pre flop? How would you have played it? Thanks for another great video.

1:30 AAJ9: Just to point out that having Ah is in general more of a reason to fold versus raise in these spots as we block the most likely semibluff combos. But yeah versus so shallow opponent folding is not option anyway.

I think at @4.17 we are too high in our range to consider bluffing. akxx we can check down till river and win often enough at showdown. we still have plenty of 8,9,t,j,q high hands in our range that we can bluff. Most of the time no sdv is more important than blockers. Checking down 8 high is zero ev FE while checking down ak high has still a couple of bb EV. I never looked at solutions for this exact situation so i could be wrong but interesting to hear your thoughts about this
@LuukBotter86
@LuukBotter86 14 күн бұрын
Hi Adriaan! Thanks for your input! I totally agree we have decent EV by checking back the turn and will win some of the time. My in-game thought was that have the Q and the K are good blockers given that we are up against the SB. Who should have more high pairs in his range, and therefore blocking these is helpful. Also since he has more pairs in his range than lets say the BB, the value of AK drops in comparison to playing against the BB. But I also get your viewpoint which to me makes a lot of sense. To me this was interesting enough to look into a turn solution on a similar board (K444) CO vs SB. What I did notice is that a hand like AKQx actually likes to bluff the turn fairly often while a hand like JT98 (and similar hands) mainly check. I think part comes from that OOP is suppose to fold a decent chunk of his 77x/88x/99x/TTxx against our delay, so unblocking those pairs is actually good for bluffing. Let me know if you have any more thoughts on this! Cheers
@adriaanknulst1281
@adriaanknulst1281 2 күн бұрын
Hi Luuk, thanks for your reply. Interesting! It makes sense to bluff hands like akqx against the sb range in a spot like this and dont bluff them against the bb range in the same scenario because the EV of checking down against a wide bb range is significantly higher then against the narrow sb range that consists of a lot of (broadway) pairs

Is the rake beatable on gg?
@LuukBotter86
@LuukBotter86 16 күн бұрын
I believe so yes, but if you have other options than I would encourage you to also check those out and give them a shot. GG is among the most toughest environments to win in I believe given the rake/rakeback.

24:20 7755ss: I think this is plausible 3bet as well. These connected double pairs tend to be quite aggro even versus tighter ranges.
@jarppe123
@jarppe123 19 күн бұрын
Not sure why this mobile browser doesn't have modify option... Anyway don't like small bet on turn. Big or x-r time. You don't value bet wide here as your value range is probably just 6+.
@jarppe123
@jarppe123 19 күн бұрын
Did comment earlier but lost those (and time stamps) with misclick. Anyway I just wondered how happy you were double barreling with 8844ss on A53r flop if we get called? I think it was MP open and we called BU and MP checked. I just feel like straight blockers have kind of low value as 42 is such unlikely combo. Also you mentioned at some point defending KT85ss from BB versus BU open. Imo that is very wide for high rake game and probably bot wide for low rake one as well.
@jarppe123
@jarppe123 19 күн бұрын
34:40 AQT4ss: Not loose imo. Kind of mandatory open in any table. Maybe folding on very aggro table. 46:40 AAAKss: Not sure why you would think of river lead. This is very very bad hand for that. 48:00 AA54ss: One of those spots where turn call is kinda mandatory yet you basically hope to see check if it's not A on river :) 51:00 AJ98ss: Super spewy stuff on flop and turn I would say.
@LuukBotter86
@LuukBotter86 16 күн бұрын
@@jarppe123 Thanks for the feedback! - 8844 pretty good bet imo. Yes I will not have many 42xx in my range, but my opponent will have many hands that are better than fold against a bet, like KKx/QQx. - AQT4 close imo, easy too overvalue the hand from UTG, but open on tight tables is oke - AAAKss yeah not ideal hand for leading absolutely, it would be very exploitative and too much out of line I agree - Last one totally agree, too loose didnt like it in hindsight either.
