I should have died by suicide by now. I should have drowned forever in the sea of regret that arose from my own mistakes. I should have been severely punished for thinking of fleeing to the world of the dead instead of surrendering to Him. However, I was instead cured from suicidal ideation through the sad sight I witnessed on the day my friend died. I was instead strengthened by my close friends. I was instead given a new skill and was reminded to continue developing my old skills. I was instead given more time to create many works and 'atone for my sins.' Just like what the lyrics of this song said: "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me."
