Can'y love this enough, one of my favorite Jimi jams, adding flavor with the opening to Jimi Plays Monterey. Thank you.

One of my fave songs now I’ve heard it. Hey john it’s Keith from Salem, you guys rocked! I played with an opening band one night at Heebeejebees off 311 with Brian Black, and maybe Jim Burtch? In 85 or 86. You had( Mark Young??) playing drums with a double bass green and white striped kit that night. Yes I am crazy, but I do remember that night. You put your head through the wall as well as other things that night .that place was not far from Hanging Rock in Bennett Springs wasn’t it?

This isn't anything Jimi Hendrix released under his own name.

My parents first date was seeing LPAV at The Ghost of Hollywood on Salem. I went to my first gig there years later when it was Factory 324. My mom drove me, and told me the story when she realized where we were going. Neither of my parents were into punk, and to this day I cannot imagine them in that place watching this band together.

Version of "Stars That Play..." Don't open that door! Was this before or after England?
@robmay62322 жыл бұрын
The song is called Hush Now on the album and liner notes say recorded July-Aug ‘67, just after coming back to states and Monterey in June. The album says he recorded all the tracks himself and it was when he really got into the wah peddle, which is great in this song.

The Denny Dent scene was taken from the beginning of Jimi plays Monterey VHS tape. Originally, it had the Monterey version of Can You See Me playing over it.
@robmay62322 жыл бұрын
That’s right! Now I remember having that tape and hearing it to can you see me! Love this early wah song but it was better to can you see me, the rhythm was much better for the video and great song too. Thanks for the original memories!!

First saw this over Hendrix at Monterey, 'Killing Floor' before they got the cameras running. Rest of the performance - pristine.

John is not bashful about having a beer. However, drinking all night? I admit drinking all day has some charm. But then to drink all night, I'm not sure.

This is my favourite instrumental version of Hush now. I used to have it on an album now regrettably lost. I am sure that it is somewhere on KZfaq with a better sound quality, but I can't find it back.Can anybody help?

I would look at record shops first, I had this record too and misplaced it, but I'm almost 100% sure the thumbnail in this video is the actual cover for the vinyl record. Hope that helps, cause that's all I've got!
Thumbnail is the cover of the vinyl album. Sorry for the quality. This high tech video was made by playing VHS video on tv while playing the lp in the background!

record w speakers on your phone then you can upload a copy to the cloud if you want or e-mail to yourself. Digital Recorders are much better now then in HS I used to try to record guitar ideas on Boom Boxes w mics. On your phone there is an option for audio, most people don't even know that because were so visual now. On apple phones you can even edit the sound file to cut off the end or beginning. Wish they had this technology back in my younger days! I record whole segments of music so when I go on a long walk I can listen to them. That's also when I listen to my own song ideas. I'm sure the average millenial would think I was a freak for doing this!
