Where did you get the figures?? Great build!

Only question is how much desert tanks will get rust in dry conditions . Tanks in service didn't last long for rust to form like they will in other theatres .This is based on color photos I can find online and of course most are colorized but some have original color .

Oh, sehr schöner Beitrag. Ich habe diesen Panzer von 1985-1986 gefahren. Es war damals eine gute Zeit mit einer tollen Truppe. Ich war in Achim bei Bremen stationiert. Kleine Kaserne mit prima Erinnerungen.

You sanded off the manufacter´s parts number for the hull and origin-marks? :) They were there in real life and is on the model, it is not something from Tamiya but actual things on the real thing..

Hallo!Schöne Arbeit!!!Aber kleiner Tip: Luken und Klappen die geöffnet werden konnten,durften innen NICHT hell sein (sondern selbe Farbe wie außen).Der Kampfraum ja,da dies Beklemmungen uä.der Besatzungen vorbeugen sollten (Decken/Wände innen elfenbein RAL1001).Geräte/Teile die oft genutzt wurden wie Handräder,Griffe,Hebel waren schwarz=dunkel zu halten (RAL9005).Motorraum/Getriebe waren in RAL8012 (rostschutz) lackiert.Gegen Ende des Krieges konnte dies natürlich variieren,als Farben knapp wurden.Panzer des Afrikakorps waren auch nicht in dunkelgelb lackiert!Ich empfehle hier ua.das Buch/Heft "Panzer Aces Farbprofile" vom Zeughaus-Verlag.Viele machen es auch falsch und lackieren den Tetra-Feuerlöscher in rot.Meine das alles allgemein als Ratschläge.Aber Hauptsache unser Hobby macht uns Spaß!...Viel Spaß Dir weiterhin und liebe Modellbauer-Grüße aus Thüringen!

Tolle Arbeit, wollte die Afrika Version auch bauen, aber die Palmen Decals gab es nicht, waren rausgeschnitten und überall in der Anleitung und auf der Box zensiert

So what's the chap at the front doing?

brilliant build and awesome paint job.

A few things: A small detail is that each bogey had four small holes on the front plate, just under the metal support for the track, one in each corner. Admittedly, they can be disregarded since the holes are very small, but still, it's a detail that could be there. Speaking of the tracks. they are floating above the return rollers... Yeah I know, a common problem with Tamiya tracks, but they would look better glued down. And M4 tracks were tightened hard, so there shouldn't be any slack. The tools on Shermans were painted green (pretty much the same olive drab as the rest of the vehicle as far as I know), so metal and wood colors are wrong. Another thing I noticed, the ammo cans at the back are not secured - the slightest bump and they would fall off. Likewise, it seems to me a lot of the packs aren't secured either? The crap can (yes, I actually think that's a portable toilet) at the front is fine though. Why is the tanker wearing a standard M1 helmet? Tanks had those with them sometimes - why I'm not sure of, but the crews got by with their holed standard tanker helmets that was not designed to pretoect the head from shrapnel or falling debris (as steel helmets were meant to do), but to protect the crews when going over rough terrain. They were lighter but much better padded. What are the bags and that one helmet on the side of the turret hanging from? There are no hooks or loops on the M4 sides. You missed drilling out the machinegun barrel and paint the headlight. Oopsie. You did however managed to incorporate the tank into the ground of the diorama - damn fine, because one of my pet peeves of this hobby is tanks floating above ground...
