@TruthfulActing

Thanks for your input. While there are some actors at certain levels that do fake emotion, the deeper-level actors do not. The truth and authenticity comes from channeling actual emotion in the moment. In addition, we learn to work safely so we can keep our mental and emotional health in tact.

Thank you so much for everything. So many things that you said in this class really resonated with me and reflect the very state I am in right now, while having already done some realizations by myself. This was an absolute top class of all the classes I have been following. Sorry I wasn't able to be present live this time as I have some health issues at the moment. I am looking very forward, always, to your next classes! Tonio

Do you think that acting can distruct the existing persona of a person while acting
@TruthfulActing
@TruthfulActing 7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. If done safely (meaning with a learned, safe process), then the actor is able to maintain a separation between the character and themself. In this way, the actor can fully dive into any moment, scene, or performance without having it effect their own life or persona. When an actor uses an unsafe process (such as working from actual traumatic events from their own life), this can create anxiety and stress in the actor outside of the role and can have serious mental and emotional effects that can be debilitating and long-term. This is why it's important for an actor to train in an organic process that allows the use of imagination to fuel the work. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello! And thank you for your comment. I understand how difficult it can be to navigate the acting world at a younger age. The thing to know is that YOU ARE ENOUGH! And there is not a specific way you need to look like to do this. The acting world needs all ages, all sizes, all types - so you are enough just as you are! I promise :-) It's important to learn to love yourself for who you are, because WHO YOU ARE IS MAGNIFICENT AND TOTALLY UNIQUE! If you can learn to love yourself, people around you will love you too :-) To start acting, look for schools and community theaters in your area. Schools will do stage productions, and many high schools and colleges will have a film program which will need actors for. That's a good place to start! Also, please keep attending our free sessions and you can learn that way. We also have learn-at-your-own-pace online courses too - just check out our website at truthfulacting.com. Stay strong - you are already an artist :-)

Hi my name is Sara , im from morroco and im 12. I really like this session to be honest i learned a lot of new things with it. Im really interested and my dream is to become an actor, i have a question tho , when you start to become an actor, how exactly do you find acting jobs? Other then that i really liked the session.
@TruthfulActing
@TruthfulActing Жыл бұрын
Hi Sara, thank you for your question. When you first start out in acting, the best place to start is in school (if they have acting programs there). Also, you can look for local community theatre opportunities or even local student or independent film opportunities. Use social media to search for film groups in your area. Once you have some training, you will need a talent agent to help you find the bigger jobs. Do your research, and have your parents or guardians help you with that to find good agents in your area. You can contact them and see what their process is for taking on new talent. One important thing to know - do not pay up front for acting opportunities. Outside of education (schooling or acting classes), you should not have to pay in advance for an agent or an audition - so be careful of people asking for money up front. The best thing to do right now is learn as much as you can and get involved with school or local community projects :-) Good luck!!
