From what I could gather watching the Music video on repeat over and over again is that Anthony Mandlers Breakdown: 20yr Old Lady Elsa moves to a Bigger City from a small Rural area town, she starts looking for Employment asking around at Local Business and Bars to help chase her Dreams of finding financial Security, Hope, and Love. She meets Gustavo at a Bar where he is either the Owner / Bar Tender. Note that their is a Local City Woman at the End of Bar already Speaking or Waitressing there, who gets upset after Gustavo accepts to Hire and House Elsa as a Waitress showing her to the Back of House / Business where she will be staying. The Killers playing at Bar could easily be substituted with a Start up Band. Now to the beginning of the Music Video which is the Ending Scene: it shows that Gustavo screwed up and got Caught Cheating with Local City Girl, and Elsa runs out of House in despair and is distraught. He is seen driving around the City / Town in Haste looking and Seeking what we see in Video is his Wife Elsa, which he had gotten Married to after working and getting to know each other spending intimate moments together. He try’s recalling all the same areas and favorite places Elsa and him had frequented when they were young. Elsa decided to go Cross on the Mountain to Pray or End it, until Gustavo Climbs up to her to Comfort and Beg for her Forgiveness as Faithful Man, he was Tempted by some of the Devil’s vices from Time to Time. My Female Cousin had the reverse story, going from United States to Rural Town in Mexico to find her Man even though at the Start she didn’t really Fancy him. Though as Tale told over Time her Husband kept showing up for her, where other Men had Faltered.
