My little boy who is now 7 loves going insulator hunting here in PA. Do you have any places you recommend? Especially to find porcelain insulators
@industrialintensity2101Ай бұрын
Well I don’t live in PA but I know old transmission lines have big and I mean BIG porcelain insulators along those, but you can find them on the very top or in the ends of the cross arms depending on what line it is. Look along tracks look at dates look at old pictures and try new places to find insulators. Some spots can be better than others. But keep him learning on history and stuff kids these days don’t know it keeps this stuff going. I’m glad to know your son like it!

The Iron Cross is a reproduction and the Rg34 is post-war. A few other items are reproductions as well.
@industrialintensity21012 ай бұрын
The RG is not post war it has a waffen makred swastika on it and says 1943 other than the mess kit and the sling everything is ww2 era and not newer. I made sure everything was ww2 before I bought it, sorry I don’t agree with you on a few things but I the iron cross I got checked out and it is made of silver but I still can’t confirm if it’s real or not.
@industrialintensity21012 ай бұрын
I don’t think I mentioned I painted the decal on the helmet but it was given to the Finnish military after ww2 so it was reused but it’s definitely ww2 Germany. I paid 30$ for it.
@zeppelin50002 ай бұрын
@industrialintensity2101 you do know that just like anything German, even Rg34's can have faked markings, right? No wartime Rg34 should have a swastika on it, only a small waffenamt and manufacturer code/name. I've seen fake swastika stamped ones, i have one in fact. The reinforcement groove tells me it's post-war, only two manufacturers had that during the war. What manufacturer is yours?
