They did set her up, but she could have reacted differently. She could have said 'thank you, I think you are unfair/wrong etc.' and go away. She is definitely too impulsive.

Zoey's trying to damage control her behaviour and actions. Her weak made-up story and events are signs of a manipulative mental Ill person. I never believed her nonsense! Unfortunately, the majority of cognitive low and naïve nobodies of Zoey, believe her innocence.

The big problem was the way that she responded when they rejected her. She threw the microphone at the judges and began cursing out everyone. That was the most embarrassing and shocking part.

I actually saw a video breaking down all of the editing, it’s quite clear that she is telling the truth. You’re clearly a very arrogant person who doesn’t do enough research. I would also like to add that Zoe attempted to end her life because of all the hate she received, so just know that people like you, who spout misinformation, are part of the reason. Please educate yourself, this is incredibly upsetting.

They edit, to make contestants look foolish if not well liked...sorry you don't agree. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rKh4ktagz8y9h2Q.html Compare Shawn Armenta's actual audition, this is from a cell phone. vs the edited version. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jbOejNt9mNS7oIU.html These are significantly different to make Shawn appear to be demented, creepy, and strange to the panel. He received much applause from the crowd, but that was removed completely-there is silence. Of course you will still stick to your positions that they don't edit anything. You have no idea what you are talking about. The whole idea of X factor is not finding musical talent. It is creating TV moments. I also know Kitten and the Hip, a group that tried out for X factor as well, + many others. Years of distorting videos is their specialty. You also neglect the pre-screening which there are HUNDREDS of contestants that talk about the nightmares of dealing with the producers-there are three groups of producers to go through before the TV judges. This is Simon's entire creation to generate a TV base and income. So this extensive writing, from years of research, of course, you will ignore. Guess you need God to talk to you or one of the ex-judges until you finally agree.

It's really sad that you have to explain yourself, because people are just sending you hate messages, for what? you just said the truth, the evidence dont add up. I feel sorry for her, but at the same time, she brought it on herself. I don't believe her explanation. Even if the video was shown whitout her and father on stage, and she was not aggressive to camera man. And she didn't through the microphone. That still would be bad behaviour. She was annoyed from the moment she sang Pink. And she aggressively said: "You told me to sing the Pink song. I wanted to be me." That showed that she had some mental problems. She said she was bulled in school, i believe that. I think her parents wanted to recompensate to her, and as a result, they spoiled her. So she can't take no for an answer.

I agree with you 100%. If they edited this addition, they couldn't edit everything, like she was swearing on stage, for example, and her anger during the additions. It was visible after when she sang Pink for the first time. It wasn't about Pink. Actually, she was good in that song. It was that she wasn't good enough. They gave her a second song. She actually had more chances than everyone else. They told her that she looked like a pop star, that she had a nice voice, but she didn't impress them.

My partner has recently been diagnosed with Autism. We’ve known each other for a long time. All through our relationship he’s been doing the same thing. I’m quite an insecure person and my confidence is quite low, so when someone that I respect corrects me all the time, it makes me feel bad. I’ve got to tell him how I feel but I don’t know how to do it. Your video has helped me understand him better, as in it’s really difficult when you know something is wrong, to keep it inside and not mention it. However, it hurts me. I even hear his voice in my head when I’m doing something where he might correct me or say how he would do it. I used to do this myself in a way, as in give him advice or suggestions quite often. I stopped because he told me it was upsetting him, but he does this to me. So I don’t know what to do. He will probably fly off the handle and tell me I’m controlling him. He’ll say I’m always trying to control him (which I’m not. I have been very ill for some time and I have lost a lot of the control over my own life that I used to have, as I rely on him so much, so when he told me this upset him , I stopped it, as I said. I would always listen if he told me I do something he finds upsetting. I would not want to cause him pain). So, if you read this, any advice?
@eryberrie
@eryberrie 2 ай бұрын
I'm so sorry. I know it's hard but the best way is communication and to be honest. Sit him down and remind him how you used to upset him by telling him what to do, however, he's doing the same thing to you but acknowledge he might not know he's doing it and take some ownership too and say you should have said something earlier. Approach it sensitively, almost 'professional' and keep it calm. Listen to him too and although it is scary there's no other way of bringing it out. The alternative is to challenge him when he tells you to do something but that may cause a fight. He will see it as a personal attack. Don't use this heart to heart as an opportunity to vent. Have a rational and balanced discussion and if he gets upset, don't show emotion if you can help it. Otherwise you'll feed off each other. One solution is to come up with a code word when he's doing 'the correcting thing'. At work, if i was rude or abrupt, but wouldn't realise, my boss used to say 'pineapple'. It snapped me out of my mindset. By using a codeword, it gets the message across without openly criticising. Hope this makes sense.

So, do you think everything that is shown on the x-factor is real. If the X-Factor is real, then why did the show go under in 2019? And why is Syco in trouble? Zoe isn't the only one who has had this treatment, there are other people. I personally believe Zoe you see when she throws the mic there is an arm coming through where arms in shirts go. But, no Syco is innocent, and anyone who speaks out against them are bad guys, right? Is that your opinion?

I wrote this comment on Zoe Alexander's channel and it was immediately deleted, so I'll put it here. Not saying she deserved any of this but when they started from the get go by telling you what and how she needed to perform... she still accepted, knowing in her gut it was not right. In life, things happen to us that we allow to happen, sometimes in exchange for something we think we want. She wanted to be on stage, their stage, their rules, their games (to be clear, they're making entertainment, not creating artists)... but she didn't understand the price. I think she only understood the price when it was too late. She should now put this behind her and move on. X-factor is a TV show, it is not a specific person who wronged someone. It's the industry where selling souls is the price of admission to a shortcut to fame and public idolization. Seems like she still wants or needs that, so she's not out of the woods just yet. I've watched the audition again and all other things aside, she's did not sing well at all that day... it was a bad singing, period.

I like how eloquent, well mannered and down to earth you are and explain your observations and points. I agree with you in everything you explained here, Eryberrie. Zoe Alexanders two videos where she explains to what and to why and because of whom she acted the way she did, are a bit cringeworthy and embarrassing to me because they look so staged, she acted. It is not truthful. I liked her performance and her stage presence and liked her energy and her exited expressions and her singing. I wish her all the best and hope she will continue her singing career. It is not nice if the X-factor was out to get her, I don't like that. But I don't like it neither if someone can't stand up to themselves and admit if they did something wrong. This would have looked much better on her than trying to hide it. And I just subscribed to your channel, Eryberrie :) All the best to everyone and to Zoe Alexander.

Also, I'd really be interested in an alternate history where you madr these videos either with your face hidden, or with one of those Vtuber animated things. Or if it was narrated by a more physically attractive person. Because let's be honest, Zoe is probably considered to be better looking than you are and she's also put a lot of effort into looking her best during her videos whereas you haven't gone to any special effort. And I sadly think that that is going to influence a lot of people's opinions in her favour. I'm really not trying to be mean or rude here, and I'm definitely not saying you're unattractive - but I think Zoe represents the "conventionally good looling girl" ideal and leans into that by dressing up, wearing her makeup in a certain style etc. Anyway, no way to know but I'd be very interested in the results if the opposite was true.

She’s absolutely lying. I saw that audition live and she was psycho that day. There’s so much that’s not part of the clips they released. She absolutely lost her grip on reality that day. She was so angry and aggressive from the moment she steps on stage. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing that day. There was so much you guys didn’t see that really went on. She 100% deserves the backlash she got. Even IF the producers had told her to sing Pink, she sang a song by another artist and was out of tune. Completely tone deaf. And when the judges kept asking her to be herself and gave her the chance to sing a second song, she argues with them, insults them, very arrogant and combative. I wish people could see the full audition so this narrative of her being a victim could stop. Zoe Alexander was in the wrong that day and people need to stop defending her. X Factor should release the full audition and show her for who she really is. Even after she reported the show to the governing body of European tv and they investigated the situation extensively and found her at fault, X Factor hasn’t made her look bad to the public by showing her behavior that day. The footage you see literally makes her look like an angel compared to everything she did that day.

I made a larger comment on your other video, but I think this injects some realism into the entire thing. As I said in the other comment, I think there was definitely some shitty behaviour on behalf of the production that day. Almost certainly. But I think you're right in that she does have to take SOME responsibility for her own actions - regardless of whether it was understandable or not, which it was. Also I think your point about the camera position is very valid - I think it probably is on a much more downward trajectory than it looks. And yeah, I don't think that she's LYING about much, if anything. I think she has trauma from what had to be a pretty horrific experience. But I think she's just gone over this all over and over and over and I definitely think she might have some self-esteem issues that has affected her perception of events - once again, understandably. I've suffered with anxiety and mental health my entire life and I KNOW that I've felt situations were much more hostile, or negative, etc than they truly were or how other people intended them. Anyway, there's a lot to unpack here and I could talk about it for a good while. But this is so far the only video which is willing to take an actual critical look at the situation rather than taking her word for LITERALLY everything. And again, I don't think she's intentionally misleading anyone really but I just think it's had such a massive event in her life that she's spent so much energy and thought on and it's almost taken on a life of its own. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on a lot of things, and take her word for many things. But I think this video brings up some very good points that I've also thought.
@Ashfold_Eberesche
@Ashfold_Eberesche 7 ай бұрын
I honestly think the truth lands somewhere in the middle. I think they definitely set her up for failure to an extent - I believe that they focused on her Pink tribute and had a narrative that they wanted to push regarding it. I think it's entirely possible that they played the backing track in a different key and/or turned off the monitors in order for her to sound worse either to the audience or in post-production. And I think there's almost certainly editing in terms of timeline etc - especially in regards to the order of events, the audience reaction and potentially the judges actions and comments. I'm not convinced either way regarding things like editing her father and her position in post, or the microphone drop/throw. I'm INCLINED to believe that she threw the microphone as shown and she simply misremembers it as dropping it more downwards. I wouldn't trust my memory to be perfect in such a situation, hell I can barely remember conversations 10 minutes later if they were emotionally charged, at least not the exact particulars. I just find misremembering such a detail to be more likely than them actually fabricating footage rather than things like editing tricks. And I think that these examples are exactly as you say, they are just blurring from a low-resolution video that is slowed down and zoomed heavily. It's not like we have the original film recordings to upscale and look at - we're looking at a fairly low bit-rate online upload. And I simply don't see how they would be served by making these extremely small and subtle fabrications. I think Zoe is (rightfully, probably) traumatized over the entire event and has gone over everything so much and so often that when she remembers some of that day, she's actually remembering REMEMBERING if that makes sense. And she obviously has a profound lack of trust in the legitimacy of everything that is shown. And like I said, for good reason. But I think you have to be realistic and trust in Occam's Razor - that is, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. TL;DR - Set up to fail, edited and made out to be a villain, yes. But probably not fabricating footage for a split second for extremely questionable benefit. And I don't even think I'd call her a "liar" necessarily. I'd be surprised if she knows for a fact that any of this DIDN'T happen. I think she's just traumatized and has probably overthought the entire situation to an extreme degree and created a larger "conspiracy" where really it's just pretty standard shitty "entertainment industry" shenanigans.
@Ashfold_Eberesche
@Ashfold_Eberesche 7 ай бұрын
Oh, and regarding other comments that mention videos that "prove" there is video editing and fabrication... I've seen those videos too, and they aren't exactly smoking gun conclusive proof. A lot of them can be explained by the fact that it's a 24 frame-per-second video at a relatively low resolution and bit-rate and you see compression artifacts, etc. Real life isn't like a video game where every frame is generated and rendered as an individual crystal clear image. Frames bleed over, motion creates blur and compression and digitization creates artifacts. And even then, I'm not ENTIRELY able to 100% rule out certain fabrication. It could have happened, although nothing I've seen has truly convinced me that it has. But even if that were the case, I still wouldn't believe that they would go frame-by-frame and do micro editing to discolour her eyes or extend her nose. That's just madness, really. There'd be zero benefit that I can see. Anyway, like I said, I think her trauma is valid but that it's made her see monsters everywhere even when there are simpler explanations.

This is only my speculation, but her behaviour and feelings seem like mental health issues. The extreme anger and fear, the paranoia, the suicidal threats, and the dissociation. I find it suspicious that she takes no responsibility whatsoever. She suffered for years with others making fun of her, which is terrible, and she has my complete sympathy for that. But her video comes off as a desperate attempt to stretch the truth of what happened to clear herself of the shame of her outburst that day.
