When you do the breadboarding, do you use the actual packages? The thing is, my project is miniature so a lot of the packages will be smd and very tiny, specially capacitors and resistors. Should I use an equivalent but bigger package? When it comes to other IC should I stick to esp32/arduino modules as much as possible while prototyping or should I buy the individuals to stick to the closest final representation?

Good video I know nothing about CNC's but saw this model at Home Depot for $120 so I thought why not. I watched two other videos that pretty much gave the same review as you so I'm gonna go ahead and try it out.

As a beginner with an affordable (cheap) Easythreed K9 printer, I had to find an alternative calibration method for the X, Y, and Z axes motors. While this approach may not be the most conventional or "right" way to do it, it worked well enough for this printer. I opted against using the dial gauge method due to the printer's design constraints. However, measuring a calibration model proved to be a suitable alternative. One key adjustment I made was calibrating at 100mm, the machine's build limit, rather than the typical 20mm cube. This approach yields a smaller percentage of error at smaller sizes, resulting in more accurate prints, as mentioned in CNC Kitchen and other tutorials.

This is by far the most comprehensive video I've seen on LED strips. You covered most topics really well. The only thing missing would've been including names of driver IC chips for the strips. But that may have been beyond the scope of the video since there are so many. Nevertheless, well done!

I have 3 anycubic printers where the auto bed leveling sensors are not functioning just after 3 months of purchase. Their support is useless. I'm planning to make a manual bed mesh. Do you have any video where you show how you install the custom marlin firmware?

Hello, can someone who knows about this tell me what part I need? On the control board on my Vevor 3018 I accidentaly damaged the PC - USB connector, and I need to change it, but I cant identifiate the correct component. It will be possible to buy, or can I buy new control board? Thank you

Thanks for providing a detailed example for my high school engineering students regarding problem solving and iterating. Since the Arduino is available you can add some sensors to detect the bags going through the hole next so you can do scoring or have the holes reset after each bag going through the hole!

I meant to include even more failures and interactions but I completely forgot to record any of them, but I’m glad you liked that inclusion! Also the sensors idea is a good one, I’ll have to figure out a way to have the sensor on the rotating platform without wires getting tangled. Should be a fun engineering problem!

One is available semi locally to me for $100. I'm currently in the process of sourcing parts for an openbuilds ox or workbench. Would it be worth it to pickup the 3018 to learn on while I build the bigger machine?

I have this machine but from one of the other manufacturers (SainSmart, I think), and I got it to cut carbon fiber, although I have yet to set it up and try it. Given your experience, do you think it is possible to cut parts from carbon fiber? When I ordered it, I also ordered additional end mills as I wasn't sure what it came with. You've inspired me to stop being lazy and build my machine tonight, so thanks for that as well as the super week done video review. Your points were clear and concise as well as entertaining. I'm subscribed now and look forward to more content from you. P.S. for some reason, I feel the sudden desire to go get some cheeseburgers. As the old saying goes, measure twice, eat once... or is it order twice cut once?

After several tries and fail with heated inserts, I found it much easier to use screw insert on fill length to long screw, for example, M3 30mm. Then using pliers hold the screw vertically and apply heat using solder to the top of the inset and push it into the plastic. A screw will prevent plastic from getting inside the insert hole. To extract the inset put a long screw into it and heat it. The plastic around the insert will melt and you will be able to pull the screw with the insert back
