I suspect I have not watched 1,000s of Shop Tours. But I have definitely watched 100’s. As you can see I DO NOT leave comments. You however Sir deserve the exception. You should be proud. Precious few can deliver quality content in under 15 mins. I am sure “Norm” would be honoured 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺.

A 20" planer w/helical head is more than you would ever need. I picked up a south bend model#SB1109. It's the only one that has variable feed control that's single phase

Really nice shop. What are the dimensions of the shop? I’m looking to possibly build one after I recover from sending g my daughter to college (haha). Also do you have a concrete floor or wood subfloor? What were your reasons for your choice? Sorry about asking so many questions, just looks like yiu think things through before taking action. Thank you

Thank you. My shop is my old one car garage. I did all the work myself. I expanded it 20 feet with a storage shed on the back end behind the lumber rack. Striped it down to studs and rebuild it, framing, drywall, insulation, electrical, paint etc. The shop is 16' x 36". The floors are concrete slabs. The reason I moved here was I was in my basement before with a work area of roughly 10' x 20', so more space, better layout, and I don't have to hull materials and project up and down stairs. As for the layout of the shop I planned it out to flow the way I wanted it to work for me and that is the advice I would give to you. Make it work for you the way you work.

@@GraeterWoodworking-zs8oq Thank you for the reply. I’m thinking about 25 x 25 at my place. Plans are to retire in June of 2029 from teaching high school. Do you find yourself in your shop a lot? How many electrical circuits did you put in both 220 and 110?

25 x 25 is a good size shop, you will be very happy with that. I'm in my shop every day for the most part. As for electrical. What I did I completely upgraded the electrical system. When it was just a garage there were four out lets and just the light on the opener. I put in a 100-amp panel and added outlets (110) all throughout the shop. Plenty everywhere just in case. Five of my tools run on 220 so they have dedicated 220 outlets, and I added a few extra in case I upgrade tools in the future. Plan for the future and make sure you have enough outlets around the shop when you do this. Hope this helps. @@rw7532

Beautiful shop. I hope you see a doctor about your respiratory issues. Your heavy breathing kinda over takes your narration .. I hope it’s just a one time thing. Best wishes.
