It was very interesting research topic to work on and most importantly very well supervised by Virginia Williamson and equally supported by team Agri-Bio Melbourne & Farmer (Sanders Brothers from Yara Valley)

Can you pollard a walnut tree for firewood purposes? I assume you can... my neighbor has a fast growing one.... I want to convince her to let me pollard it. I'm afraid that she might be too much of an environmentalist pansy to let me even shorten in a bit. I don't want the tree to get too big and get in the way of things...

Really good information. KZfaq is full of videos for novice growers, so it's nice to find a video helpful for the experienced grower to advance further. Thanks

Why do you use the 3 to 1 ratio for lateral branches? Is it for structural integrity?

Why would you eat food gassed with the last of the class one cfc still in use, a known ozone depleting gas that kills people too, it’s a Neurotoxin, people die from Motor Neuron Disease, how on earth does poisoning food make it better?? May look better and keep longer but what’s the point when it’s been poisoned? You guys ever wonder why there’s so much disease these days??? Here’s one reason methyl bromide must stop.

Our "great vine" has been under Phylloxera attack for few years. We usually just trim off the infested branches. Its a really huge vine (10m approximate length) so digging wont help. Is there another way to get rid of the Phylloxera source or is this it? Its my favorite grape and seems to be in great shape besides the Phylloxera attack.
