My boyfriend and I were together 11 years and we raised 5 kids together ( he had 2 and I had 3). I was there for him through everything. I paid for vacations, his kids Xmas presents, etc... He seems like he just enjoys hanging around with his guy friends. He makes no effort to do anything with me unless I make all the plans. When marriage is discussed...immediately I am. "crazy"...even though he lives here for free. He used to help me fix up the house but now he just goes and helps everyone else instead of helping me. Somehow I am just crazy when I get mad and stick up for myself. He needs to go.

Lol yess!!!! Been with my man ,6 years we're having our second baby ( his first daughter and mine) and he hates talking bout marriage, he even jokes about it saying "" aww one day I'll marry you, you're my future wife"" and he'll be laughing while saying it and I get angry cuz he's joking about it when I'm being dead serious. And he says I'm his future wife everytime I give him an ultimatum and he never proposes.... Yet he wants to buy a house and has my kids and live with me but nothing else.

There is three reasons why guys dont get married either you like it or not 1. Hes broke 2. Your not fully wife material/ realtionship isnt healthy 3. Hes just with you for what you give him but he doesnt wanna commit to you. Instead of getting upset on why he dosnt listen and understand why he doesnt and look at his actions to see if its contradicting hes words.

My guy said the exact thing....I can’t see myself getting married, but was fine with living together and I know he’s committed to me, but to me that is settling. When asked if his position on marriage would ever change if we dated for another year, because our relationship still seems new even tho it’s been a year, he said it’s not a hard fast rule. I’m wondering if this is his way of stringing me along because he’s not ready to lose me or hopes I will change my position on marriage. His reason for not wanting marriage is that he decided that he isn’t cut out for it after his marriage failed and that he is on a “glide path” not a targeted goal path.

Men don't need to be manipulated and pinned down to realize he wants to marry you. he knows if your the one between the first day to one year. women might pick who to date but the man chooses who to marry.

Right!! And I used to think pretty,skinny women had no issues with this but I know multiple (a few of my Asian freinds and other races. Just saying this because it's not only black women dealing with this as many believe) that have been with men one even almost 20 years and nothing. He won't marry her. The other it's going on 8 years and they live together and he hasn't eveb made her a fiance. He still just says his gf and she wants marriage. He's also near 40 and she's late 20s. Reading some of these comments they say they never met the parents of the guy or other 🚩but this case she's met his family over the years and even goes out of state with him visit them. I just don't get what it is. I mean place holder maybe or he just doesn't want it with her .
