Your welcome to it... not for me! Clogs up everything including valve and valve stems. After all; it's designed to plug everything akin to an exit hole. I'll stick with my Kevlar tires and high running pressures and deal with the occasional punctures rather than deal with that slop and it's predictable nature!

I have two of these, I ordered our bikes when they was first available, and I did not have the battery problems you talked about. There great bikes and glad I went with the rebel2, the bike has other things that wasn't talked about in the video. Like walk mode, cruise controll, break lights and turn signals, and the strap to tie the bike together when folded..

In most cases, yes. I’ve seen Flatout seal and fix tires that were flat from thorns. Once Flatout was added, the tires were completely fine. There are situations where the puncture may be too far on the sidewall for it to reach so make sure that you are only trying to repair center line punctures.

Great video....I was surprised that with all the work to take it off that you didn't fill up the innertube first to make sure it held pressure before putting it back in the tire. thank you, I've not had to do this yet on my bike but will keep this video handy :).....it is inevitable....

Got mine used today and I done ride it already and set it for high output. 35 mph so far. I see on website they have upgraded battery for m20 so I’m gonna call tomorrow to inquire. However I did get a 030 code and then I unscrew the handle bars for a min then re screw turn bike back on and it’s off. So so far I like. I have a feeling I m gonna get something faster maybe. But I like. Oh yea I’m gonna add side mirrors so I can see in back. Getting a lid next

Got the step over and love it. I really recommend getting a stem riser to bring up the handlebars. Raised mine about 4.5 inches, don’t think you could go higher without causing tension on the brake cables. Makes the bike more comfortable for longer rides.

What about the fire hazards by ebikes and scooter batteries?
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 14 күн бұрын
Solid state batteries have a super low risk of fire. They had an example of a cell being shot by a bullet with the new solid state technology vs current tech and the solid state cell was still functional after and did not burst into flames like the non-solid state battery

If you look at per 10,000 hybrid vehicles are more likely to catch on fire, then its gas vehicles, electric comes in third. They're safer than combustion engines
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 15 күн бұрын
I know! Isn’t it crazy how all the news is only about how much EVs catch on fire! Even ebike fires are rare, and a lot of times it’s due to users not being responsible and using chargers that are not made for the batteries their hooked up to or the batteries are super cheap knock off brands that should never have been sold in the open market OR people modifying batteries and bikes unsafely.

I watched the episode of Undecided. My first thought was how it could be adapted for ebikes. One thing that would be a benefit for solid state batteries is that they would be airplane safe. People could travel with their ebikes
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 14 күн бұрын
Oh! Great point! It would be really nice to be able to fly somewhere and take an ebike even if it cost a little more as baggage. There are places an ebike could replace a rental car and it would worth it to travel by plane with. I have family in Washington and Hawaii where it would be great to visit with e-bikes and ride with them. That would be so awesome.

Hey man. So I was wondering. I’m 130. You think it could easily hit 28 mph and go up some hills. Nothing really large or even medium sized. Pretty small hills. And I was also wondering, is carrying an extra passenger possible? Like is the seat large enough, etc.

At 130, it should hit the 28mph on flats with a full battery pretty easily. You could carry a passenger as the seat is quite long

I agree... If it has a throttle on the right grip, there will be a delay and a need to release the throttle to grab the rear brake quickly in an emergency if it is on the same side as the throttle. As a former long time moped and scooter rider, it made sense to me to have the rear brake on the left hand grip and with ebike the motor cutoff switch would also disengage the motor too so reaction time to stop is almost instant. Funny think is that there is actually a law in place that says bikes must have brakes on the right hand for the rear and a lawsuit has been won when it was not to the legal standard by someone who got hurt. I am pretty sure the law was made before ebikes were mainstream and for regular non motorized bikes and may need to be re-evaluated in the future.

Here we are a year out and Lectric XP Trike is still selling. And so is the RAD Trike. I’ve done a lot of research on both, and so many owners have complained about damage to their Lectric Trikes when it arrived. Most common is fenders and bent wheels. Plus. A lot of customers have also complained about broken bearings after a few hundred miles. Nothing like this to the RAD bikes. I think people are caught up with the fact that you are getting more features for the money, but are you getting better quality? I really wanted the Lectric Trike, but based on this track record of bearing failures, etc, I’m leaning towards the RAD. They’ve been around for a long time and have built up a reputable/successful company. They build a solid trike with no issues. That means more to me than spending less just to get bling.

1) The tire size and compounds are the culprits. See if they make Big Ben’s for your bike. 2) Anything with a throttle isn’t a bike. It’s a motorcycle. I have a regular bike, an e-bike (pedelec), and a motorcycle. It’s not a bike just because it has pedals. And if you don’t have to pedal it it isn’t a bike at all.
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 18 күн бұрын
I agree. I have a M1 license and have owned motorcycle classified level vehicles as well as a few mopeds and a dozen bicycles in the past. Anything that has a throttle gets ridden a lot more like a motorcycle/moped when I jump on it with very little pedaling on my part.

Question: What do you do on the trail without the stool??
@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 18 күн бұрын
I would lay it down a slowly lift it upside down where I could have things elevated to not scratch or ruin things. I also am extra conscious about making sure the seat is protected with something that would protect it from tearing because the bike will move around when being worked on and I've ruined a few seats that way in the past. It's touch, if I can walk it out to a place to get help (I've walked a mile before in 100 degree heat with a flat), I'd opt for that first, but if I'm too far out then I'd try to fix it there.

Do these to minimize theft if you're leaving your bike unattended while you go to the store. 1.) Get a GPS tracker that can send alert to your phone when it detects even the slightest motion on your bike --> Invoxia 2.) Get a bike alarm that is motion sensor 3.) Get a heavy duty lock such as the Krpytonite New York Fahgettaboudit 4.) Get a Monitored by GPS sticker and place it on the bike 5.) Be smart and don't park it away from crowd or sketchy areas If you have other suggestions, feel free to share.

Actually, I would have used 3 sets of slats. 1 set the inside length of the rack replacing the pvc pipe. The 2nd set the full length of the crate for support over the rack but under the crate. The 3rd set is the interior length of the crate. Laminating the support to the full length should give it a support base to stay put. Additionally, I would use hose clamps instead of velcro to ensure it could not come off accidentally. You would also have to get right under it to see how it's connected, making it almost invisible. Another change I would likely make is using thinner aluminum stock instead of wood so it would close properly when not in use. Obviously, aluminum being stronger than wood it should be much thinner.

Portola is a unicorn in terms of weight : top speed. It has too many gears and pedal assist modes. Ride1Up should simplify their design. Would be cool if they had some sort of bag to hold the folded bike so it doesn't have edges exposed and it would be easy to put in a car or bus.

@EbikeProducts
@EbikeProducts 26 күн бұрын
Don’t force it. There is a secondary safety latch that needs to be turned/pushed after it 1/2 pops out with the key. It’s there to prevent the battery from falling out if the first latch fails. Find the secondary latch near the top of the battery and it will release the battery completely. Hope that makes sense. The key is the first release of the battery but the secondary latch is the final release.
