You did a beautiful job but if you can next time just use 20 V peroxide it just takes a little longer. It does the exact same thing and it won’t destroy your hair and dry it out as badly as the 40 V you look fabulous with your hair great job and Bruno what can I say? He’s absolutely precious.

Went to hairstylist yesterday and showed her a Pic of someone with this cut as an example of what I was going for, instead she gave me the triangle. Searched for shag curly diy and you came up, today I tried it and am never going back to stylist, came out great!! Thank you for exploring cutting your own hair and sharing it with us!! Hi! ☺ Yes, layers work with longer hair too, but you will need more layers and less difference between the length, so the layers nicely blend together at the end.

Yes, you can but you'll have some pieces in the front that will not go in the ponytail. You could do a high ponytail, or use some gel for the shorter parts. 🙂

I am half Lebanese and the texture and curl of my hair is so much like yours. I have been watching your videos over and over because you have achieved exactly the style I have been trying to get. I think my millenial hairdresser has NO appreciation or respect for the Iconic Shag of the 70' s. I used to cut my hair myself back when i was young and brave but i never had a plan (or sections). I just whacked and the texture of my hair was so forgiving. Are you a stylist? I wonder if i can take these videos to any skilled stylist with an open mind and duplicate this look.

I think you should be able to do anything, especially when you're paying someone to do your hair! It's always good to take reference photos. I trust absolutely no one to touch my hair, that's why I've been cutting it myself since I was about 16-17. I'm 30 now, so I've had many years to practice and get to know my hair. I'm surprised hairstylists can't achieve such a cut, because it's been very popular in the past 4 years. And it's not even complicated! 🙃 I hope you find someone who can do it, or try to do it yourself. I have some videos showing an even simpler way to achieve this cut.

Hi! 😍 I just used my diffuser to dry my hair, and didn't really move my head much (when my hair is longer I always try to achieve volume, but in this case I wanted it to be more flat). I don't use any styling products, they usually don't work on my hair.
