In episode 3, we see Pen staring at Colin as he stares back and speaks of courage and being honest with yourself. She nods to herself and then turns her back on Colin and towards Lord Debling in a literal and symbolic effort to close the door on any hope of her and Colin. That moment was heartbreaking to me and I felt anger and sadness in equal measure. We also never got to see Penelope say yes, and I think it was a massive missed romantic opportunity. Colin’s professing that he will always stand up for her however lands so hollow for me now, since viewing episode 8 when he didn’t stand with his wife when she confessed that she was in fact Lady Whistledown. The writers did him dirty and made Colin into a coward! The writers had him standing in the crowd during Pen’s speech to the ton to see how it goes before he decides whether to have her back? If Pen were my wife I would have rushed to her side the minute the queen fingered her as Whistledown. If she turned to me and said, “I got this” and walked forward to the center by herself then I would have respected her wish and waited there. But if she gave me a nod to go with her or held my hand and it was clear she wanted me up there to stand behind or beside her, you bet your ass I would have. Instead he waits till TWO other people go talk to her first (Lady Danbury, then Pen’s mom) then decides that people are okay with it enough to talk to her…. REALLY? Pen literally says earlier in the episode that all she wishes is for him to stand by her side! He needed to stand next to her his wife, not to overshadow her, but to let her know that regardless of the repercussions he will be with her no matter the outcome, they will face it together. I love Polin and wish there was so much more of them. They have the least on screen time of the three main couples of each season, (SN 1-113 min, SN 2-89 min, SN 3-78 min), and a that of 16.1% of the total screen time from this season, The Duke and Daphne had 22%. Now, all of this needs to be taken with a grain of salt since I have to admit that in my eyes Nicola Coughlan is the most talented, intelligent, beautiful, and attractive woman on the show. Nicola & Luke need extended screen time together in season 4 to make up for this. I would watch the two of them read a phone book and I assure you that it would be funny, entertaining, and flirty.
@johnjoy637423 сағат бұрын
Nicola Coughlan & Luke Newton have extraordinary chemistry that is either the best acting in the world or they were together during filming and stopped dating after. If they were together it had to be her who broken it off because then is no way a man would leave Nicola Coughlan, she is perfect. It’s not possible in any world.

One thing someone pointed out in another reaction is that Homelander only directly kills people who are afraid of him. In the case of the doctor at the end, he killed everyone except her. Of course, he did seal her in the room, so she'll die sooner or later, depending upon what she's willing to ingest to survive.
@user-zi6yb1lz9b12 сағат бұрын
Its true. Homelander only responds to fear. If your like stan edger, homelander would have a hard time trying to intimidate him mentally. As himelander lacks in that department.

Primal was fun, only 2 seasons. It's western animation with the best dialogue ever. Assassination Classroom was great, also 2 seasons IIRC. Babylon 5 was epic, 5 seasons. The Shield if you want more like Breaking Bad.

A new slayer wont replace Buffy because she was already replaced. But that new slayer was killed and replaced by Faith. Faith is still alive, so no new slayer if Buffy dies.

The layers of writing in this show is amazing, having watched the complete series three times, I have to say each time on a re-watch it just gets better and better. All this with superb acting and cinematography adds to it's brilliance. When Hank says 'we got new players in town' he wasn't wrong they may have a high skillset, but these are the ultimate amateurs at this stage. Walt's cancer of course is a constant through the show, but in a strange way gives him a smokescreen to cook without suspicion. As you were looking for new recommendations Kassidy, Dollhouse Joss Whedon's other show is very underrated, and Eliza Dushku is brilliant in it in the leading roll. If you really want a strange but compelling show the cult series Twin Peaks is utterly brilliant.

Finishing someone sentence is a terrible habit and someone needs to say it out loud to you.
@RustyCyler3 күн бұрын
Way too much talking and way too much 'plot predicting' and not enough paying attention. Stop right now with your terrible plot predictions and just watch and the let the story unfold like the writers intended. At no time should you be finishing the actors sentences for christs sake. Keep the random banter till after the show is over because the show needs you to pay attention. There are major plot details they hide in plain sight and if you're blabbing and rambling about BS, you miss all these moments. All I'm asking is that you focus on the show and leave the dialog and plot predicting for after the episode is over. Pre and post reaction you should talk all you want and talk about anything you want. You guys had a comment for almost every scene and most of the banter was frankly stupid as hell.

I think I'd recommend Lost and Orphan Black to you. Lost is a classic, very intense mystery with fantasy-horror elements and a huge cast. Hooks you within a minute, the pilot is commonly regarded as one of the best pilots ever. Orphan Black is more niche, but very unique and crazy with lots of action and a bit of sci-fi and very queer/lesbian. A must-watch for gay women tbh. ;) I'm sure both shows are right up your alley!

I was saddened by her comment too. I see it all too often, people proudly exclaiming their stupidity as its a badge of honor or them "just being honest". You'll see a lot of these dumber BB reactors proudly proclaim they were terrible in chemistry class and hated science or just school in general and now they have no idea how the universe really works. This science ignorance and fear allows people to think with their hearts instead of their heads and next thing ya know, they're a god-worshiper or a horoscope guru or a chiropractor.

I think as a heads up, season 1 ends kind of abruptly because of a writers strike or something to that effect, the first story arc continues into s2 for a couple episodes. Some people say s1 is kinda weak for that reason, but if it was split up more as the creator was planning I think it'd be better.

They're not even done with season one and you're telling them what to expect from the next seasons. Just keep that to yourself. Everyone knows Breaking Bad is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed TV shows of all time. Expectations are already high. This is such a stupid comment.
@-Ohio3 күн бұрын
@@ajs8873 Actually it's not. Some people need to know how much better a show gets so they'll stick with it, because the more filler type episodes can be lackluster.
@ajs88733 күн бұрын
@@-Ohio There are no 'filler type' episodes in Breaking Bad. It's a one whole concrete story, where every episode is important, and every episode contributes, little by little, to everything else that happens later in the show. If you can't stick to a show that is universally considered one of the greatest of all time, you shouldn't be putting out reaction videos at all.
@-Ohio3 күн бұрын
@@ajs8873 There are always filler type episodes. And by that I mean episodes that don't offer anything that propels the storyline forward, they tie up loose ends, or answer questions ( call that what you may) I've seen the show. Also, it doesn't matter how critically acclaimed a show is. If your personal taste doesn't allow you to click with it, it is what it is. Keeping in mind there are two people watching the show that have to both like it enough to continue it. My comment was strictly because of your rudeness toward a person excited for the future seasons of the show, meant to entice them to stick with it.

This is Buffy Summers' origin story. If you enjoy things like Clueless, it's a lot easier to be cool with this movie. As for me, I saw this before I saw even a single episode of the show, and I found it funny as heck, because of how *stupid* Buffy was to start, and how totally *badass* she ended up being.

Parody and satire man. Films don’t have to be realistic, and they can never be realistic because they are films (ontology), This film is quite obviously not realistic in its mise-en-scene or in its actwing style, obviously. Given this to ask “realist” questions of it is bizarre.
